To me it just seems like an elaboration of [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]
All the Lilianas I’ve known have been Hispanic so I associate it with being a Spanish name.
Tbh the only girls I’ve seen with the name have been blonde and white, so I see it as a trendy combination of [name_f]Lily[/name_f] + [name_f]Ana[/name_f]. I do know that it has origins beyond that though, and out of these I would say Italian.
I definitely think of it as being Spanish, particularly with this spelling (one L and one N).
I know someone who is Polish with the name [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] but I’d personally associate it with being Italian or Spanish
Technically it’s all of those. A lot of names are used in more than one language (take [name_f]Anna[/name_f] for example - common across most of Europe).
I completely agree. I was just curious of people’s opinions as when I first heard it it sounded very Italian/Spanish to me yet I’ve heard it used in all the countries in my poll.
