Orrin Hendrix or Torrin Bellamy

Thoughts on These two boy combos just for naming list [name_f][/name_f]? :light_blue_heart:

Polled and [name_m]Torrin[/name_m] [name_m]Bellamy[/name_m] won but I’m still a little swayed by the name [name_m]Orrin[/name_m] [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m]

Thanks for any comments ( hope this is okay in this section )

They’re both fab names! Orrin Hendrix is more rocker/ edgy cool while Torrin Bellamy to me is more upper-crust (coukd be an artist, could be a barrister). They both look so visually cohesive - so my instinct is they’re both fab and different enough, so “both on list”?

FWIW, I have small (name nerd, nitpicking) issues with boy names:

Orrin Hendrix is two names with soft sounds at start and the repeat “En” sound, it almost sounds cockney or west country (UK) when saying them “Orrin-Nendrix”. Also, Orrin, where I’m from would get high teasing potential of “orange” too - but obv only a factor if this is for a real child. (But for flow, maybe Phoenix, Huxley, Xavier, Calix, or Mercer would flow better?)

Then for Torrin Bellamy, I love the look and balance of this name - but I find I slightly trip up on the move from Torrin to Bellamy. Might be me being lazy but I can’t say it fast that’s for sure. (Maybe Sebastian, Aurelius, Leander, Montague, Ambrose or Sinclair?)

Anyway, take or leave! I say keep both on list.

[name_m]Orrin[/name_m] [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m] feels more edgy, more like a celeb baby name, whereas [name_m]Torrin[/name_m] [name_m]Bellamy[/name_m] could cover a lot of bases [name_f][/name_f]- it feels simultaneously posh, nature-y, artsy, and modern. I just don’t love [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m] as it’s soooo tied to one specific person, it’s a bit like naming your kid [name_f]Beyonce[/name_f]. Unless you’re a particularly big [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] fan in which case, fine

I also think [name_m]Orrin[/name_m] feels a tad unfinished/misspelled for some reason? Maybe it’s just seeing it next to [name_m]Torrin[/name_m], or because I’m used to the more tailored spelling variants of [name_m]Orin[/name_m], [name_m]Oren[/name_m], etc… [name_m]Orrin[/name_m] almost feels like I need to roll my Rs or linger on them. But that is likely just me. [name_m]Wild[/name_m] card opinion: I prefer [name_m]Auryn[/name_m], same pronunciation but means ‘gold’ in Welsh.

I think [name_m]Orrin[/name_m] [name_m]Bellamy[/name_m] would be even cooler [name_f][/name_f] But I think [name_m]Orrin[/name_m] [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m] is my fave of the two

They are both kind of cool but I think I like [name_m]Orrin[/name_m] [name_m]Hendrix[/name_m].

Both are nice but I prefer [name_m]Torrin[/name_m]! [name_f][/name_f] I like the [name_m]Torin[/name_m] spelling more though.

Good luck!
