I love the name Orson, what are your thoughts on it? Do you know any Orson’s in the U.K? Do you automatically think of Orson Wells? I love that it means bear cub and that it’s also linked to Star Wars & the great Orson Wells!

I think I love it!! What a cool find. I agree that the meaning is adorable and I also like [name_m]Orson[/name_m] [name_m]Wells[/name_m]. I’m in the US and it’s not a name I’ve seen on anyone. But I think it fits in with other -on names and is wearable.
To be honest, I just hear “arse on” or “arson”, neither of which is nice. It’s a shame because I agree, the bear cub meaning is really adorable!
Adding I pronounce the first syllable like “oar” like paddle. So I don’t hear an “Ar” sound
It’s cute! I’ve never met an [name_m]Orson[/name_m]. I immediately think of [name_m]Orson[/name_m] [name_m]Wells[/name_m] or bears, but neither of those are bad associations.
