Hey All! We are expecting a second baby this summer. [name_f]My[/name_f] 3 yo is named [name_m]Ace[/name_m] [name_m]Phillip[/name_m]. I tend to like old fashioned names but my husband was adamant about [name_m]Ace[/name_m]. I have grown to love it but have been struggling to find another boy name I like. We are in love with [name_u]Rue[/name_u] for a girl.
What are your thoughts on [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] as a brother for [name_m]Ace[/name_m]? It is the first one that has me a little excited. I also kind of dig the nn [name_m]Ozzie[/name_m].
I really like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], and I think it goes well with [name_m]Ace[/name_m]! I’ve randomly ran across [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] a few times lately, and each time I’ve had a moment of, “Hm, that’s a nice name.”
If you’re looking for more suggestions, [name_m]Ezra[/name_m] comes to mind for some reason.
I love [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], tho it feels quite different to me from [name_m]Ace[/name_m]. [name_m]Ozzie[/name_m] is such a cute nn tho. Another way to get there is [name_m]Ozias[/name_m], but that’s just as different if not more! I almost feel like [name_m]Ozzie[/name_m] by itself goes best with [name_m]Ace[/name_m].
Thank you. I do keep picturing [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] together. … not [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]. Thank you forthe suggestions. I think I am having a tough time because [name_m]Ace[/name_m] is more “hipster” and my true prefetences are old fashioned. I have also kicked around the idea of [name_u]Theo[/name_u].
I could see [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_m]Ace[/name_m]. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] has more of that hipster vibe to me than [name_u]Theo[/name_u], but is still a strong name. But [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_u]Theo[/name_u] is cute too. Another thought, [name_m]Otto[/name_m].
I do like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], but I don’t think it goes with [name_m]Ace[/name_m] at all. Brothers named [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_m]Ace[/name_m] would strike me as odd.
Hmm I’m not a huge fan or [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] or nn [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m], sorry. I know too many dogs that are Oscars so I guess I just see it more as a dogs name! I also don’t feel like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] “fits” very well with [name_m]Ace[/name_m] (cute name btw!)
[name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_m]Art[/name_m]? [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Art[/name_m] have a similar feel to them but you may feel the -a beginning and 3 letters is too matchy. Or how about [name_u]Oakley[/name_u]? I know of brothers named [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] and [name_u]Oakley[/name_u] so that may be your style too?
I love [name_m]Oscar[/name_m]! Not sure how well it goes with [name_m]Ace[/name_m], though. WDYT of [name_m]Ace[/name_m]'s little brother…
[name_m]Levi[/name_m]
[name_u]Finn[/name_u]
[name_u]Dash[/name_u]
[name_u]Gus[/name_u]
[name_u]Dexter[/name_u]/[name_m]Dex[/name_m]
[name_m]Axel[/name_m]
[name_m]Jethro[/name_m]/[name_u]Jet[/name_u]
I like [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], and if that’s the name that really gets you excited, you should run with it! “Sibsets” are just a preference… it really doesn’t matter if your sons don’t have cutesy matching names.
I don’t think they’re a prefect match but I don’t think [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] is a terrible pairing. [name_m]Ace[/name_m] and [name_m]Ozzy[/name_m] are super cute together.
