Oskan too made up?

I was reading a fiction novel and came across Oskan. I love how it sounds. I think it totally matches my son Cowen’s name and sounds like a surname as first name. I’ve been wanting to name the baby on the way [name]Oscar[/name] but hubs doesn’t like the [name]Oscar[/name] the Grouch connection. Maybe Oskan is a good compromise?

What do you think? Oskan: good name for a real person or better left to the realm of fiction?

[name]Andrea[/name]
Mom of [name]Miriam[/name], Cowen, [name]Emeline[/name], [name]Eli[/name] and [name]Harriet[/name] with [name]Little[/name] Boy [name]Blue[/name] on the way.

Better left in the realm of fiction, [name]IMO[/name].
[name]Oscar[/name] is wonderful, [name]Orson[/name] is great too. Why muddy the waters?
The kid will get over being called a grouch once in a while. There are other Oscars.
I think of: the [name]Oscar[/name] awards, [name]Oscar[/name] Schindler, [name]Oscar[/name] Wilde, [name]Oskar[/name] Schlemmer (Bauhaus architect)

I think people will end up seeing the name and thinking it is “[name]Oscar[/name]” anyway. My name is spelled “[name]Katy[/name]” and I have been called “[name]Kathy[/name]” so many times. I like [name]Oscar[/name] better, and also like [name]Orson[/name], as PP suggested. [name]Oliver[/name] or [name]Olivier[/name] are good as well.
