Sibling names are [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. We like names that are classic, sweet, and girly. Definitely want to use middle name [name_u]Kay[/name_u] (family thing) . Choices are:
our concerns with [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] are that it is just too plain and “boring”. But then again, not many babies being named [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] these days, so maybe not?? I have always thought it is such a soft and sweet name.
I [name_f]LOVE[/name_f] [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], but not sure how well it goes with [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]? And is it one of those names people either love or hate?
With juliana, I’m worried about nicknames. And it seems to be getting progressively more popular.
Would really appreciate any thoughts/opinions. Thanks so much in advance!!!
My favorite is definitely [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], but it does have some similarity in sound to [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. Still, [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is super cute. [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] is my 2nd fave, tho [name_f]Julia[/name_f] might fit better with sibs.
I love [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f].
If you want [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] not to have a nickname then introduce her as [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. I have known plenty of children and adults that do not go by any nicknames and have only gone by their full name their entire lives.
I like both [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. I do think that [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is a bit boring because I’ve always known at least 3 people named [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]. I think I like [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] better because it fits with the siblings really well and goes good with [name_u]Kay[/name_u]. Your children have such cute names!
[name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is definitely my favorite. It sounds feminine and classic, but spunky and adorable too. I think it would sound great on her as a little girl and a grown woman, and I love the sound of “[name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f], and [name_f]Fiona[/name_f].”
I would go with [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Fiona[/name_f], but it doesn’t flow as well with your other children’s names, and it does sound very similar to [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is great, and is only two spaces ahead of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] as far as popularity in 2012. [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] is beautiful, and has the same classy feeling as [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
However, I really think [name_f]Julia[/name_f] would be perfect. It’s like a marriage of [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f], not crazy popular, sweet, classic, elegant - not to mention [name_u]Noah[/name_u], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is a great sibset.
I like them all for their own reasons. [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]'s page on NB says there were 5000+ born last year, so it is probably more common than you think. [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is my favorite of your options. [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] is very pretty, but I also like the suggestion of [name_f]Julia[/name_f] for you.
I like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. However, for the best fit with your other names I definitely think [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. I think you can just introduce her as [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] and people won’t shorten (of course, once she’s in school, all bets are off - I know lots of kids who changed their name even though the parents wanted the longer name). I know 1 [name_f]Juliana[/name_f], 2 [name_f]Claire[/name_f]'s (and 2 [name_f]Clara[/name_f]'s) and 2 [name_u]Noah[/name_u]'s. So I think it fits name wise but also popularity wise. I don’t love [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]. I know of one kid [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] but a tons of adult women. The name is too plain for my taste. Lastly, I think [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] has the best flow.
I love [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]!! If you want to hear the name said out loud a lot go to itsjudyslife on YouTube… they have an adorable little [name_f]Julianna[/name_f]… [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is more daring, I like it, but I wouldn’t personally use it. It is beautiful, though.
After reading all the other comments, I would agree that [name_f]Julia[/name_f] would make an even better fit than [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] (which is still great). Especially with your other daughter’s name of [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I think it’s really important for sisters names to match well (even more so than overall sibsets).
I’d say [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. It fits quite well with [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I love others’ suggestion of [name_f]Julia[/name_f] as well - it fits even better because it’s a bit shorter and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] seems really long next to [name_f]Claire[/name_f].
I do like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] but it sounds quite similar to [name_u]Noah[/name_u], and [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] feels a bit too plain next to [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]IMO[/name_f].
All 3 are beautiful names. I think [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is classic rather than boring, but my crazy side would be bothered that it’s a little rhymey with [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] and [name_u]Noah[/name_u] also have a tinge of rhymey-ness but not so much so that it would stop be from using it. I think [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] is very pretty but wih such short, sweet names for the other children, I personally wouldn’t jump to a 4 syllable name. [name_f]Julia[/name_f] is a great suggestion that solves this problem. I also love love love [name_u]Julianne[/name_u] and think it is very underused.
Out of the three you listed I would choose [name_f]Fiona[/name_f]. But of other suggestions are welcome I’d favor [name_f]Julia[/name_f] or [name_u]Julianne[/name_u], with a slight preference for [name_u]Julianne[/name_u] (just because I adore it). Good luck!
[name_m]Just[/name_m] wanted to add, [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is as similar to [name_u]Noah[/name_u] as [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is–2 syllables ending in -ah. So I don’t think [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] should be kept and over [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] for that reason.
I still say [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] or [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]!
I like [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] but it’s too similar in sound to [name_u]Noah[/name_u].
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is ok but it’s kind of bland with [name_u]Kay[/name_u].
[name_f]Juliana[/name_f]/[name_f]Julia[/name_f] would be my choice. [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is very pretty.
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] is too close to [name_f]Claire[/name_f], [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] is too close to [name_u]Noah[/name_u]. [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] will work best in your sibset, and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] is a very nice name. Personally, I prefer a less stylized version, [name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u]*. Also, as your other children’s names are “short and sweet,” [name_f]Julia[/name_f] fits a little better as well. But if you really prefer [name_f]Juliana[/name_f] over [name_f]Julia[/name_f], go for it!
*[name_f]Julia[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u] actually sounds to me like some sort of company–like a jewelry company or something. It’s a very marketable name, if that makes any sense?
My vote goes to [name_f]Fiona[/name_f] [name_u]Kay[/name_u]. It flows beautifully with [name_u]Noah[/name_u] and [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. I also love [name_f]Sarah[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliana[/name_f]. You can’t go wrong with any of these names.
Good luck!
