I couldn’t be more delighted to announce the safe arrival of our exquisite daughter, [name]Winter[/name] [name]Rosamund[/name].
She was born weighing 4.6kg (10lb 3oz) via a beautiful caesarean section on [name]Wednesday[/name] 8th of [name]August[/name] at 1.21am, following a long and ultimately obstructed labour.
Her first half hour of life was spent curled up on my chest under a heated blanket while the surgical team finished the procedure. It wasn’t quite the low-intervention natural birth we hoped for, but it was nonetheless a good birth!
Having waited many years to become a mum, I couldn’t be happier with my little blossom, and my husband is delighted to have added our sweet girl to his string of three boys.
[name]Baby[/name] [name]Winter[/name] is now well ensconced in the life of our family, feeding, sleeping and thriving more or less as she should, and accepting the adoration of all surrounding her completely as her due.
Incidentally, the morning of [name]Winter[/name]'s birth dawned as the most perfectly blue and cloudless Australian winter’s day imaginable.

Congratulations again (see other thread you posted on) and the Northern Hemisphere berries may not realise your little [name]Winter[/name] was born in our Aussie [name]Winter[/name] so that was probably significant when you were naming her.

Haha, yes, I wondered what special reason would cause you to choose “[name]Winter[/name]” for a summer baby–but I’m in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name]!
