Our caboose is coming soon. Eloise Maura is the current girl pick. Any suggestions?

We have four girls with various names. There are no sib-set combos in our house. We are literally all over the world map. This makes naming our fifth and final baby even more fun! We are going with [name_m]Martin[/name_m] [name_m]Peter[/name_m] for a boy to honor my husband’s family members. He deserves a namesake if this ends up being a boy and I plan on calling him just [name_m]Martin[/name_m]. My grandfather was also [name_m]Martin[/name_m], but called [name_u]Mattie[/name_u]. I could do that if he feels like [name_m]Martin[/name_m] is too stiff as he gets older. [name_u]Marty[/name_u], not so much.

We have:
[name_f]Niamh[/name_f] [name_f]Bridget[/name_f]
[name_f]Mairead[/name_f] [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
[name_f]Annabel[/name_f] [name_u]Blake[/name_u]
[name_f]Maya[/name_f] [name_f]Noelle[/name_f]

Our fifth girl name is currently [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Maura[/name_f]. [name_f]Maura[/name_f] is a family name, which is important to us. We like middle names to have significance. Other middle name possibilities are [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Agnes[/name_f], [name_f]Nora[/name_f], [name_f]Margaret[/name_f]. [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is not actually a family name but is the English version of [name_f]Mairead[/name_f], so that is the tie-in.

I love [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] and it’s been on our short list for the last two pregnancies. But, I could be persuaded in another direction. I like the Irish name [name_f]Ailis[/name_f], but my husband thinks it sounds too much like relish and won’t compromise on that.

Any other fun suggestions?

I think [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] goes very well with your daughters’ names — it fits in while also being distinctive, which seems true of all five. I would prefer [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Nora[/name_f] to [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Maura[/name_f], but that’s just because it’s slightly easier for me to say and it looks prettier to me with at least one repeating vowel.

[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Maura[/name_f] sounds perfect! I would also suggest:

[name_f]Eilidh[/name_f] (Ay-lee) [name_f]Hope[/name_f]
[name_f]Aoife[/name_f] (Ee-fa) [name_f]Agnes[/name_f]
[name_f]Alys[/name_f] [name_f]Nora[/name_f] (Welsh form of [name_f]Alice[/name_f])

Its a sweet name, I like it .

Thank you for the feedback! I also prefer [name_f]Nora[/name_f] to [name_f]Maura[/name_f] when it comes down to it. It is my [name_f]MIL[/name_f]'s name, but I already have a niece named after her so I was keeping it lower on my list. I don’t think my [name_m]SIL[/name_m] would mind if we used it as a middle name, but I think [name_f]Maura[/name_f] is a little less used and essentially has a similar sound. We are also planning to ask baby’s auntie to be Godmother, and she is a [name_f]Maura[/name_f] :-).

4 girls! [name_u]Lucky[/name_u] you! Have you considered [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Moira[/name_f]? I personally love elements of repetition through-out a name but I know that is not for everyone.

[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Maura[/name_f] is gorgeous!

[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is a stunning name with a natural sunny disposition. It’s a lovely name with a great [name_m]French[/name_m] flair. I also love the nicknames for [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]; [name_f]Elle[/name_f], [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] etc they are upbeat choices. [name_f]Maura[/name_f] sounds great with [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] the whole combination sounds great and works with your daughter’s names.

I love [name_u]Eloise[/name_u]!!!

I love [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Maura[/name_f]!

I really like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Maura[/name_f]! It works well with your other four daughters.

Thanks everyone!!!

I love it! [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] is perfection, and [name_f]Niamh[/name_f], [name_f]Mairead[/name_f], [name_f]Annabel[/name_f], [name_f]Maya[/name_f], and [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] go together so well. I really like [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Maura[/name_f] OR [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Nora[/name_f]. [name_u]Eloise[/name_u] [name_f]Margaret[/name_f] is really beautiful, too.
