It’s a girl!!! Stuck between 2 names [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Aline[/name_f] or [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Aline[/name_f]. I don’t mind the repetitive sounds with [name_f]Aline[/name_f] (AL-lean), which is my still living Great Grandmother’s name. Our daughter is her first great great grandchild.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]- was my husband’s grandma and I love the name but we are concerned it sounds too much like my husband’s name [name_u]Alex[/name_u] ([name_m]Alexander[/name_m]).
[name_f]Belle[/name_f]- is my favorite name, but we worry about it being too Disney. I’m a big Disney fan and we will probably go to [name_m]Walt[/name_m] Disney World often throughout her childhood.
I would go for belle! the princess isn’t the first thing to mind for me, and growing up with disney as she will, she’ll likely love the connection - the princess works as a role model anyway! I worry a bit about alice because it’s only one letter of from aline, and is just a little too similar visually for me. belle aline is just so lovely though!

Would do you consider a longer first name that could be nicknamed [name_f]Belle[/name_f]? [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f] [name_f]Aline[/name_f], for example?

Another vote for [name_f]Belle[/name_f]! It’s more used now that it doesn’t have the strong Disney tie imo.

I love the name [name_f]Belle[/name_f] too I think it’s simple and stunning not too tied to the princess at all in my opinion. I actually think it is more tied to [name_f]Isabella[/name_f] and [name_f]Bella[/name_f] which are immensely popular and not personally my style. But they are all pretty names. & I think [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Aline[/name_f] sounds gorgeous!
Belle [name_f]Aline[/name_f] does sound like the winner, but it is slightly hard for me to say transitioning from [name_f]Belle[/name_f] to [name_m]Al[/name_m]. I hope that makes sense. [name_f]Bella[/name_f] [name_f]Aline[/name_f] or [name_u]Bellamy[/name_u] [name_f]Aline[/name_f] flow a little smoother.
Belle is mainstream enough as to not be too Disney, and when weighing the pros and cons you have more and heavier concerns over [name_f]Alice[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Belle[/name_f] [name_f]Aline[/name_f] is the way to go.
