Our final list...I hope

My husband and I are really struggling to name our little girl. We aren’t super in love with anything. We have a son named [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and want something that pairs well obviously. Any ideas and criticism is welcomed

[name_f]Emily[/name_f]
[name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]
[name_f]Kate[/name_f]

Out of your list, I like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] best with big brother [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]! [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] sort of rhyme. [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] are fine, but I just prefer [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] (moreso [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]). I really like your taste! These names are all classic, familiar, beautiful, and are down-to-earth.

You might also like:
[name_u]Brooke[/name_u]
[name_u]Allison[/name_u]
[name_f]Lilah[/name_f]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f]/[name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
[name_f]Caroline[/name_f]
[name_f]Melanie[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]

All lovely names! I also like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].

[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are my favourites with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]! [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] would be best with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] because they both have biblical ties.

I like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f]. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] has a pretty sound to me and I like [name_f]Kate[/name_f]'s historic roots. I like [name_f]Emily[/name_f] but think it is overused. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] is nice too. Agree that [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is a little rhymey with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]. Other suggestions are [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Julia[/name_f], and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] would be a great sister for [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]. [name_f]May[/name_f] I also suggest

• [name_f]Sarah[/name_f]
• [name_f]Sophia[/name_f]
• [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]

All 5 are nice names. I personally adore [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u]. I prefer (and adore) [name_f]Emma[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f], and [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Verity[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Samantha[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Annaliese[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f]

Would Kates full name be [name_f]Katherine[/name_f]? [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]… nn [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_m]Ben[/name_m]?
I do like [name_f]Kate[/name_f]… it could also be [name_f]Katrin[/name_f]/[name_f]Catrin[/name_f], or other derivatives of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f].

Second favorite is [name_f]Grace[/name_f], they are all good names. My least favorite is [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. It never appealed to me and I know both an adult and teen [name_f]Hannah[/name_f].

I love all of your names. With [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], I would choose [name_f]Hannah[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Clara[/name_f] with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]. They both sound classic, but have a bit of youth to them.

[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Bryony[/name_f] ([name_f]Briony[/name_f])
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Jasmine[/name_f]
[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]

First up I agree [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is too close to [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] so imo it’s out. But I love [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]! [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is my second favourite:)

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is definitely my favourite from your list. She’s so underused!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] & [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] get my vote. But I think [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] fits nicely too.

Other classic names you might like: [name_f]Olivia[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Julia[/name_f]

My vote goes to [name_f]Kate[/name_f]! Especially in its shortened form, it’s classic yet gives a nice contrast to the sound and length of [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]. They go together beautifully, as well, and you’ll have plenty of opportunity for more names that fit well should you have more children.

Without wanting to add to your list, I figured I’d just be straight forward with it

I would immediately rule out [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] because it shares the same ending sound with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], which is a little too matchy for my liking. I think I would also rule out [name_f]Kate[/name_f] because it feels very short next to the longer [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].

Of your three remaining names, I think [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are all good stylistic matches for [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], and woudl work well in a sibset. Personally, I would be put off [name_f]Emily[/name_f] a little by the current popularity of lots of the “[name_f]Em[/name_f]/Am” names like [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], [name_f]Emily[/name_f], [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] etc… I think having a name that is very popular at a young age can be a little annoying if you have to share it at school with other children. I work with children and in a class last year we had 6 Amelias, 3 Emilys, 2 Emilias and 1 [name_f]Amelie[/name_f]-obviously this was an exceptional class and not everywhere is going to be like that, but I think excessive popularity is something that should be considered!

[name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] are my favourites with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m], though I think I slightly prefer [name_f]Clara[/name_f]-it shares that refined and classic image that [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] also holds for me. [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f] would be a great sibset!

[name_f]Clara[/name_f] is such a beautiful name and goes so well with your son. [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] are lovely, but I think [name_f]Kate[/name_f] is too short compared with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]. [name_u]Evelyn[/name_u] is pretty but it doesn’t go with your son’s name.

[name_m]Benjamin[/name_m] & [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]
Stunning!

My favorites are [name_f]Kate[/name_f] and [name_f]Emily[/name_f] with [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m]. I don’t think [name_f]Emily[/name_f] is as wildly popular as is being suggested, and both [name_f]Emily[/name_f] and [name_f]Kate[/name_f] feel fresh to me, despite having been around awhile. Maybe it’s the stronger “ee” and “a” sounds in those names versus the soft “ah” sounds in [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] and [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I don’t see any problem with the length of [name_f]Kate[/name_f] versus [name_m]Benjamin[/name_m].
