Hello, berries. Sorry for being so annoying and creating one thread after another. This is what pregnancy hormones do to me: I question every choice of mine. We were set on the name [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] for our little baby girl whom we expect this Halloween. Then we had a sudden change of heart, DH started having second thoughts, so did I.
[name_f]Willow[/name_f] is my favorite name, my hubby loves [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (nn [name_f]Evi[/name_f]). Both [name_u]James[/name_u] and [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] are honor names so they are not going anywhere.
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f], on the other hand, is a name I discovered earlier this week. So really, it’s between [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (pr: leen). Which one is the best in your opinion?
Due to the fact that my Dh and I have dark brown hair (mines curly as well) and green (DH) and amber (me) eyes, we think that she will be a dark haired little lady with beautiful green/amber eyes. If this helps at all ”

I like [name_f]Willow[/name_f] the most, it has been on my name list for our last couple babies - but they’ve been boys. lol. Evnageline is my second choice.
Trying to decide a name based on how you look doesn’t really work well - my husband and I both have brown hair and our youngest has white-blonde hair. lol. Genetics are silly. Thanks, [name_m]German[/name_m] and Scottish ancestory.
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] gets my vote, but I like all of your choices. [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] would be my 2nd choice.
I agree with enoel3. [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] has the nicest flow in my opinion.
Also agree with the fact that it is not the best to pick a name based on my the child might look. Any kid can have any name regardless of how they look!
I think both [name_f]Willow[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] and [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_f]Ardith[/name_f] are lovely, especially for an [name_f]October[/name_f]/autumn baby. You might want to consider that since you indicate that [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] was a recent discovery that you don’t know yet to what extent it’ll remain a favourite of yours the way [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] are favourites for you and your husband.
I really like [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] and [name_f]Willow[/name_f]! Not a huge fan of [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] because it strikes me as a bit made-up. I know it’s very popular on Nameberry, but it’s not my style at all.
I agree with pp that you may not like [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] in the long-term because you just recently discovered it, but [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] are long-time favorites. I’d lean more towards one of those. Best of luck!
I think [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] is the smartest pairing, but like others, there’s a risk you might not be quite as fond of this name at some point soon. I’d prob go for one of the other two as more established names.
