Our fourth(!) girl is on the way...

And we need help with thinking of a fourth name for our newest daughter. Her siblings are [name]Annalise/name [name]Marie[/name], [name]Eleanor/name [name]Jane[/name], and [name]Adelaide[/name]([name]Lida[/name] [name]Rose[/name]) [name]Rose[/name]. My husband and I love traditional, vintage names. We are also from Southern families who adore bequeathing nicknames, so we are mindful to pick names with easygoing and warm nicknames—we don’t want any of the girls to “resent” the creative naming our family and friends are prone to with nicknaming. Right now our favorite names are [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], and [name]Mirabel[/name].

Our last name starts with W and is two syllables. And we haven’t even gotten close to thinking of middle names, so any suggestions on that front would be great too!

First of all, I absolutely adore your naming style!

[name]Josephine[/name] - I love this name, and there are so many beautiful nn options - [name]Posy[/name] is adorable, but there is also [name]Josie[/name], Sephie etc.
[name]Matilda[/name] - this fits perfectly, and the nn [name]Tilly[/name] is beautiful.
[name]Mirabel[/name] - for some reason, I don’t think this goes as well with your other daughters’ names, but that may just be me and it is pretty.

Middle names ideas :
(I’ve gone for short mns to fit with your other daughters’.)
[name]Grace[/name] (very popular)

[name]Love[/name] your girls’ names.

I suggest [name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Maggie[/name], [name]Meg[/name], or [name]Maisie[/name] (my fave  ). My favorite from your list is [name]Matilda[/name].

We have a similar naming style. I have two daughters named [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Skye[/name] ([name]Maisie[/name]) and [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Kerr[/name] ([name]Poppy[/name]). I’m pregnant with my third girl and having trouble finding a name that I like this time around.

Good luck!

[name]Love[/name] [name]Matilda[/name].

[name]Analise[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], and [name]Adelaide[/name] are lovely names, and [name]Josephine[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], and [name]Mirabel[/name] are all so pretty!

[name]Mirabel[/name] ([name]Miri[/name]/[name]Mira[/name])

[name]Rosalie[/name] was already suggested but I love it with your other daughters names. However [name]Lida[/name] [name]Rose[/name] and [name]Rosalie[/name] are very similiar. If it was just [name]Lida[/name], it could work. I also think [name]Dorthea[/name], [name]Cordelia[/name],
[name]Lydia[/name], and [name]Vivian[/name] or also great suggestions.

I love your girls’ names!

[name]Josephine[/name]: I love this name, and think it works beautifully with your daughters’ names. I adore the [name]Posey[/name] and [name]Josie[/name] nicknames, too.

[name]Matilda[/name]: I think it’s darling, and love the nickname [name]Tillie[/name]/[name]Tilly[/name]. I’m in the U.S., but I know that [name]Adelaide[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] have Australian meaning, so I’m not sure if this theme bothers you or not.

[name]Mirabel[/name]: I [name]LOVE[/name] this name, too, but with an [name]Eleanor[/name], I personally wouldn’t use a name that ends in [name]El[/name]. [name]Mirabel[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] is pretty -el heavy to me, but that’s just me.

I’m going to vote for [name]Josephine[/name].

[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Blythe[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Claire[/name]
Jospehine [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Mae[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Pearl[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Ruby[/name]
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] (I love the flow of longer middle names with [name]Josephine[/name] and your last name)
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Violet[/name]

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Beatrix[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Frances[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Louise[/name]

[name]Juliet[/name]

[name]Violet[/name]
[name]Vivienne[/name]

(I tried to mostly list names with three syllables…)

Good luck to you!

Sisters named [name]Annalise[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name]. All gorgeous names!

[name]Mirabelle[/name], [name]Annalise[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name].
[name]Matilda[/name], [name]Annalise[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name].
[name]Victoria[/name], [name]Annalise[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Adelaide[/name].

For a Southern flavour I feel that [name]Mirabelle[/name] (spelt this way) would be perfect because then you have the gorgeous [name]Belle[/name] as a nn, and you can’t get more Southern than that!

[name]Mirabelle[/name] [name]Kate[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name] [name]Queenie[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name] [name]Judith[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name] [name]Elise[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name] [name]Juliet[/name]
[name]Mirabelle[/name] [name]Caroline[/name]

Otherwise [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Violet[/name] would be beautiful, or [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Rose[/name].

[name]Victoria[/name] is a good option unless you are an Aussie and then it would be like naming your children after the States of Australia.

My combo is
[name]Victoria[/name] [name]Margaret[/name] nn [name]Vicky[/name]

My favourite is [name]Mirabelle[/name].

Please let us know what names you decide upon.

Thank you for all the suggestions! They are awesome! My hubbie loves the name [name]Clementine[/name] and kept pointing it out to me.

We will definitely post what we decide. Thanks again!

I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Clementine[/name], and am glad that you like it, too.

I can’t wait to hear what you choose!

Good luck!

I love the name [name]Matilda[/name]! One of my favourite names is [name]Jasmine[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]. I think that’s quite nice and [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jasmine[/name] is O as well. I love the nicknames [name]Tilly[/name] and [name]Mattie[/name]. It sounds silly but I’d probably use [name]Mattie[/name] after my dead cat lol. She was a troubled soul but I loved her.

I love your naming style and I think it’s similar to mine so I’ll share my girl list with you.

We have one child, [name]Evangelina[/name] ([name]Evie[/name], or [name]Eva[/name]) [name]Kate[/name].

For sisters (someday!), we like:

[name]Isabelle[/name] ([name]Izzy[/name])
[name]Anastasia[/name] ([name]Ana[/name] or [name]Stasia[/name])
[name]Juliana[/name] ([name]Ani[/name] or [name]Ana[/name])
[name]Francesca[/name] ([name]Francie[/name], or lots of other nns)
[name]Eleanora[/name] ([name]Ellie[/name])
[name]Emilia[/name] ([name]Emme[/name])
[name]Camilla[/name] ([name]Cammie[/name])
[name]Penelope[/name] ([name]Penny[/name])
[name]Seraphina[/name] ([name]Sera[/name])
[name]Madeline[/name] ([name]Maddie[/name])
