[name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] are two of my favorite names. Especially [name]Eleanor[/name]. [name]Love[/name] it! My husband finds it a bit clunky, but I think I can get him to agree with we use [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Josephine[/name], but then I am concerned that EJ is a bit clunky as a combo. Thoughts?
(Sorry for the repeating [name]Josephine[/name]. We use family names as middle names and J is the front-runner for baby #2, if it is a girl.)
I love [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]! Those are by far my favorites on your list. My next choice is [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]. Are any of the other first names family names? [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Quincy[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Quinn[/name], and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Campbell[/name] are all great imo. Good luck!
I like your list!
While I do like [name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name], they are not my favorites with big sister [name]Avery[/name]. They are sylistically different ([name]Charlotte[/name] and [name]Eleanor[/name] are vintage or ‘old lady’ and feminine, while [name]Avery[/name] is trendy/modern and unisex). That said, sibset harmony shouldn’t be the number one factor in your decision! If you love [name]Eleanor[/name] or [name]Charlotte[/name], use them! I think [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] isn’t clunky, it just has the vintage vibe to it (which I personally love). But I do think [name]Blair[/name], [name]Lane[/name], [name]Quincy[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name] sound the best with [name]Avery[/name]. My favorite combo is [name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]!
[name]Blair[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Campbell[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] / [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name] - Too classic.
[name]Clare[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - Too simple and classic.
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] / [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] - Too vintage.
[name]Ellis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Lane[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - [name]Laney[/name] is cute, but [name]Lane[/name] alone is rather insubstantial.
[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
I don’t care for [name]Campbell[/name] or [name]Quincy[/name] as first names. I know [name]Cam[/name] and [name]Quin[/name] are natural nicknames, but I’m just not feeling it - sorry! That being said…
I love [name]Blair[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name], but I have always thought [name]Ellis[/name] was the best with [name]Avery[/name]! [name]Ellis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] is very nice with [name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name]. I like that [name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] has the repeated V sounds while [name]Ellis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] has the repeated S sounds - it’s a neat connection. If not [name]Ellis[/name], I’d probably use [name]Quinn[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] because I simply adore [name]Quinn[/name]. Good luck!
I know this is unsollicited, but a couple of others that I could really picture:
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Briony[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Cecily[/name] [name]Eleanor[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Romilly[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Isla[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Cora[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]
[name]Avery[/name] [name]Virginia[/name] and [name]Linden[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name]
My husband just isn’t feeling [name]Eleanor[/name] at all. Sigh! I adore sweet [name]Eleanor[/name].
I think this is our “official” Girls Top 6:
[name]Blair[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name]
[name]Clare[/name]
[name]Ellis[/name]
[name]Lane[/name]
[name]Quinn[/name]
[name]Blair[/name] - just feels dated to me.
[name]Campbell[/name] - says boy and soup to me.
[name]Charlotte[/name] is pretty, but I don’t think it goes with [name]Avery[/name] at all.
[name]Clare[/name] - I feel like entirely too common. I know most people use [name]Clare[/name] as a mn, but for me, it has lost it’s lost. I think if you end up saying [name]Avery[/name] and [name]Clare[/name] a lot, it’s sound like Eclair.
[name]Ellis[/name] - I like and while nms, I think it goes wonderfully with [name]Avery[/name]. Short, sweet, Unisex but leaning more toward feminine, and it just goes really realy wel without matchy match. [name]Both[/name] start with vowels.
[name]Quincy[/name] [name]Josephine[/name] - Hello [name]Quincy[/name] [name]Jones[/name]. No away. Total boy and not cute.
[name]Quinn[/name] is cute. Again, somewhat unisex so good with [name]Avery[/name], but think rising in popularity, but again [name]Avery[/name] is not unpopular either.
Names becomes popular bc they are pretty, so popularity is not horrible, but I would never want to be [name]Quinn[/name] L. I don’t think it’s so popular that this is guaranteed.
My favorite, favorite with your daughter’s name and naming history is [name]Ellis[/name]. Second is [name]Quinn[/name].
Least favorite are [name]Campbell[/name] and [name]Quincy[/name].
Again, faves are [name]Ellis[/name] and [name]Quinn[/name] - I really want you to use [name]Ellis[/name] [name]Josephine[/name]!
Least faves are [name]Campbell[/name] and [name]Quincy[/name] because they are too surname-y and, quite frankly, rather masculine. And [name]Charlotte[/name] - I love her, but she doesn’t work well with [name]Avery[/name]. Sadly, [name]Charlotte[/name] the Classic makes [name]Avery[/name] look trendy, and that isn’t what you want. Pairing [name]Avery[/name] with [name]Ellis[/name] gives your set a fresh, modern, spunky feel, which is what you want, right?
Oh, well that does work, doesn’t it? I think Lissy is a sweet nickname, too. I know an [name]Elisabeth[/name] who goes by Lissy. [name]Elle[/name] and [name]Ellie[/name] are perfect, though!
