After 2 years of IVF and a high risk pregnancy we are delighted that our miracle has arrived just a little early at 37 weeks.
We have named her Ph0ebe [name_f]El[/name_f]!za [name_f]Grace[/name_f]
[name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] means shining and radiant- she is the light after a very dark long journey to have our last baby
[name_f]Eliza[/name_f] is her great, great, great, great grandma on DH’s side
[name_f]Grace[/name_f] was after my dad’s mum who had Amazing [name_f]Grace[/name_f] played at her funeral
Our LN starts with “Y” so her initials are PEGY- after my maternal grandma [name_f]Peggy[/name_f], who was like a second mother to me.
All in all a very meaningful name for a very wanted precious daughter.
Older brother and 2 older sisters are in love with her, and so are we.
Her nn is [name_f]Bee[/name_f] and she often gets Honeybee.
Congrats!!! What a beautiful name!! I love how you found unique and lovely ways to honor family. I think it’s important to understand that family can be honored with initials, a favorite song, flower, season, or anything that they were known to identity with, and not just their actual name.
Congratulations! I am so happy you are finally blessed with such a wonderful gift. [name_m]Little[/name_m] [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] has a stunning name, enjoy her!
Thanks for all the well wishes.
I am very happy with her name. It took 2 3/4 years to choose a name and I feel we made the perfect choice for her.
Thanks for the help choosing- way back 2 3/4 years ago my #1 pick was [name_f]Chloe[/name_f]- and while I still see the appeal it seems way to popular for such a special little girl. I even considered [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] for quite some time- but with a last name starting with “Y” I realised (in time luckily!) that she would be [name_f]Annabelle[/name_f] Y… [name_f]Anna[/name_f] BELLY! Not so good.
More recently the top other names were [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I like both still but somehow [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] just kept feeling right. Some of the more unusual names I really liked- but didn’t think would ultimately serve her well were [name_f]Cleo[/name_f], Xylia and [name_f]Kiara[/name_f]. I also rather fancied [name_f]Matilda[/name_f]
In the end (after seeing a 3D ultrasound image) I knew she was a fairy faced girl so I need a name with sweetness- [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] was it.
The only thing I did differently this time was commit to her name quickly- within minutes of seeing her. We had “95%” chosen her name before she was born- with a 5% ‘last minute change of mind’ allowed. With our last DD we took 3 days of deliberation and I was NOT going to do that again- the stress of a new baby plus hormones running wild do not help decisive name choosing.
Anyway, she has a silky dark hair and bright eyes.
