As we are now well and truly TTC, I asked SO to come up with a list of names for each gender. We then went over his list and mine, and I came up with a top six for each gender of names we can agree on. I’d like your opinion on these names; you can comment on all of them or just tell me which ones you like best. Right now, our list looks like this:

Aramina - nice, I like [name_f]Araminta[/name_f] better

Nineveh - Not my favorite-- maybe [name_f]Nina[/name_f], [name_f]Nieve[/name_f], [name_f]Niamh[/name_f], [name_f]Nadia[/name_f], or [name_f]Noor[/name_f] instead?

I love [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] and [name_f]Greta[/name_f]! [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] is unique and beautiful and [name_f]Greta[/name_f] so sweet! Some [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f] nicknames are [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], Dally, [name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_u]Lennie[/name_u] and [name_f]Enna[/name_f]. I also like [name_f]Karolina[/name_f], I’m guessing this is the most common spelling where you’re from. Really cute choice!
For boys, [name_m]Vincent[/name_m], [name_m]Magnus[/name_m] and [name_m]Johannes[/name_m] are my favorites with [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] coming on top. I can see why it’s your top runner, it’s an incredibly handsome name!

For boys, I really like [name_m]Vincent[/name_m] and [name_m]Magnus[/name_m]. For girls, I like [name_f]Karolina[/name_f], Aramina, and [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]. Some nickname ideas for [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]: [name_f]Maggie[/name_f], [name_f]Magda[/name_f] (has associations with a prominent Nazi though), [name_f]Maya[/name_f], [name_f]Dolly[/name_f], [name_f]Lena[/name_f], [name_f]Nell[/name_f], [name_f]Dalia[/name_f], [name_f]Aggie[/name_f], [name_f]Mags[/name_f], [name_u]Gal[/name_u], [name_f]Dena[/name_f], [name_f]Mina[/name_f]/[name_f]Mena[/name_f], [name_f]Madge[/name_f]

@emmievis: [name_f]Karolina[/name_f] is one of the spellings used most where we live. Where I’m from (Iceland), it would be Karólína, so [name_f]Karolina[/name_f] is a compromise.
@alchemicallypurplefairy: I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f], but I’d never really thought of it as a nickname for [name_f]Magdalena[/name_f]. That’s a great idea. I also like [name_f]Maggie[/name_f].
