She weighed 6 pounds, 15.8 ounces and was 19.5 inches long.
We wanted her named for strong women. [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] honors [name_f]Juliette[/name_f] [name_m]Gordon[/name_m] [name_m]Lowe[/name_m], founder of the Girl Scounts, and several Catholic saints. [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] is a family name that also honors [name_f]Ruth[/name_f] [name_m]Bader[/name_m] Ginsburg and the Old Testament [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]. We didn’t know if the baby was a boy or a girl, so we called baby “Roo” throughout our pregnancy. Roo was so close to [name_f]Ruth[/name_f]! A friend of ours has been calling her [name_u]Baby[/name_u] [name_f]Ruth[/name_f], like the candy bar. We have been working hard on calling her [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] and not Roo!
