Our second child and first daughter arrived at 11:31 am (EST) on dec. 27!! Birth went very well, no complications and both baby and I were able to leave this morning! The adjustment period has begun for DH, myself, and big brother [name_u]Logan[/name_u]!!
We had the hardest time finding a name and STICKING to it. We were convinced [name_f]Marin[/name_f] was THE name from week 20 to 35. Then we fell out of love with it and had major lust with [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] for about 2 weeks before finally finding and truly adoring the name we gave her, Carrigan.
I have loved the nn [name_u]Carey[/name_u] for the longest time, but knew I wanted a formal name to go with it, for all future opportunities for LO. I did not want super traditional [name_f]Caroline[/name_f] (or [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f]) and nothing else worked, either. Someone on nameberry (thanks!!!) mentioned Carrigan in passing. It sounded cute but I knew my DH would NOT go for it. He did, though, and the rest is history!!
Middle name was sort of simple. We wanted something short and nothing that would take away from her first name. [name_u]Leigh[/name_u] is in my family and it fits well with Carrigan!
