Our daughter was born last [name_f]Monday[/name_f] weighing in at 10lbs 15.6oz and measuring at 19 inches. First thing we realized upon seeing her was that none of the names we went to the hospital with fit her.
She just wasn’t a [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], [name_f]Bridget[/name_f], [name_f]Dorothy[/name_f] or any of the other names that Dh and I had agreed on as possibilities.
It took a day and a half of constant name discussion before the name came to us. A family name that had never made our list because we thought the family member didn’t like her name. We double checked with her before deciding and discovered that we were wrong. Then at the last minute I tearfully asked Dh to let me add a 2nd middle to honor a much beloved great grandmother.
So that is how we named our precious little girl [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] [name_f]Ida[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. We are calling her [name_f]Etta[/name_f] most of the time. [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] a good bit though and [name_f]Ida[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f] when I she is being sassy.
Her name fits her perfectly no matter which part we use. After many months of searching for the perfect name it was right in front of us the whole time.
I love [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f]! She is so lucky to have such a name. 11lbs? What a chunk! I’d be in love from the start. Best of luck to you and your new addition.
Congrats on the birth of your beautifully named baby girl! Who would’ve thunk those 3 names would go so wonderfully well together. Here’s to many happy years of positive growth with your new addition
Congrats to you on the safe arrival of your baby girl, [name_f]Henrietta[/name_f] [name_f]Ida[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]. A lovely vintage combo. When she’s older she’ll love to hear the story behind your choice.
