Me and DH really love the name [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. We love mythology and we love the unquieness of [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] but we love the nickname [name_u]Percy[/name_u]. I can picture a little light skin mixed baby boy running around the house with his curly black hair and hazel green eyes being into adventure and being unquie just like his mommy and daddy
We would love opinions on this name combo.
Thanks XO
I love it and think it sounds very sweet
You love it and that’s what matters Those are both regal names
I love the name [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], and I often like Greek names and myth names, but I have reservations about [name_m]Perseus[/name_m]. It shortens very easily to “purse.” which kids will figure out quickly. And if your community is more set in traditional male names, like [name_m]Joseph[/name_m] & [name_u]James[/name_u], then “[name_u]Percy[/name_u]” may (or may not) put a bit of a target on his back. In my area a [name_u]Percy[/name_u] has to have a strong life force: strong masculinity, OR a clear sharp feminine vibe - because average normal boys named [name_u]Percy[/name_u] would get pummeled. Pulling off [name_u]Percy[/name_u], in my opinion, depends entirely on the kid’s personality.
[name_f]My[/name_f] best advice is to have back-ups and alternatives, but keep [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] as your #1, wait until he is born, and get a feel for his personality. Does he feel like he is [name_u]Percy[/name_u]? Or does his character inspire…[name_m]Zeus[/name_m], or [name_m]Duarte[/name_m], or [name_m]David[/name_m]? A lot of people in my area wait till they meet their baby, and they report unique & interesting experiences of how they “realize” the name the baby ought to have. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my opinion & honesty. [name_f]Hope[/name_f] it is helpful!
I love the combo. It flows and it feels like a very strong name
I love the name [name_u]Percy[/name_u]! But I’m not so keen on it as a nickname for [name_m]Perseus[/name_m]. I personally like just [name_u]Percy[/name_u] as the first name or as a nickname for [name_m]Percival[/name_m]. Also, I’m not really a fan of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]. It’s just becoming so overused these days. However, I love the name [name_u]Elias[/name_u]. [name_m]Percival[/name_m] [name_u]Elias[/name_u] sounds super awesome (just my opinion). That said, [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] just sounds super strong and cool, and if you love it go for it!
I love it. [name_m]Both[/name_m] are two of my favorites.
However, I feel like I should warn you; [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] possibly comes from “pertho”, meaning “to destroy”. If your okay with that, then I say go for it!
You seem to love it, and it is a great name (I adore [name_m]Perseus[/name_m]), so that’s all the matters.
[name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] “[name_u]Percy[/name_u]” would be perfect for a boy of your description! Soft, strong and funky, I imagine a little live wire bouncing off the walls with energy, grinning from ear to ear. It has an ancient and modern vibe at the same time- [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] being from Greek mythology and [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] from the Bible, but [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] being fairly popular and “normal” these days. And [name_u]Percy[/name_u] is so classy.
I think [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] is absolutely gorgeous, and [name_u]Percy[/name_u] is so cute! I think it’s perfect
I love [name_m]Perseus[/name_m]! I’m not a fan of [name_m]Elijah[/name_m], but the combo is nice.
I really like both names, and they make such a nice combo!
I think it makes a very nice combo! I think the name [name_m]Perseus[/name_m] is awesome. [name_u]Unique[/name_u], strong, and masculine. When I hear the nickname “[name_u]Percy[/name_u]” I think of [name_u]Percy[/name_u] [name_m]Jackson[/name_m] and The Lightning Thief. Not a bad thing at all, in my opinion. I say go for it!
I really like [name_m]Perseus[/name_m], it flows nice with [name_m]Elijah[/name_m]
I really like it but think [name_u]Perry[/name_u] might be a better nickname.
Adorable combination – [name_u]Percy[/name_u] > [name_m]Perseus[/name_m].
I love percy but not perseus. It sounds pretentious to me.
[name_m]Perseus[/name_m] [name_m]Elijah[/name_m] “[name_u]Percy[/name_u]” is so cool! I love it. I would love to meet a little one with the name.
