I had a previous post about name suggestions for our little boy… His sisters name is [name_f]Bebe[/name_f] and we had our hearts set on [name_u]Beau[/name_u], unfortunately our last name is [name_f]Viney[/name_f] so the name sounded like bovine.
We have narrowed down to the following names and HAVE to register him this week as we are running out of time, here they are in no particular order…
[name_m]Art[/name_m] ([name_m]Artie[/name_m]) Then with one of these middle names: [name_m]Fox[/name_m],[name_u]Winter[/name_u],[name_u]Beau[/name_u],[name_u]River[/name_u]
[name_m]Etienne[/name_m] ([name_f]Etti[/name_f]) [name_m]Fox[/name_m]
[name_m]Etienne[/name_m] ([name_f]Etti[/name_f]) [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m]
[name_m]Rafferty[/name_m] [name_u]Beau[/name_u]
[name_m]Fox[/name_m] [name_u]Avery[/name_u]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] [name_u]River[/name_u]

Or any combination of the above, we both feel that [name_m]Art[/name_m] is the safest option for us although neither of us are absolutely in love with any of the names but have gone round in circles. We worry [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] is too french (We are not french and feel we will be asked why we have picked it) although I love the name!
[name_u]Sage[/name_u] has always been a fave of mine.
I also like [name_u]Jude[/name_u] and [name_m]Etienne[/name_m].
Yes, [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] is very french to me, but so is [name_f]Bebe[/name_f] - isn’t it?
I think saying “we just love the name!” is justification enough to pick something. [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] sounds he best with [name_f]Bebe[/name_f], in my opinion, with [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] as a middle name. I also think [name_m]Rhodes[/name_m] would make a fantastic first name! The nickname “Rho/[name_f]Ro[/name_f]” would be a great alternative to [name_u]Beau[/name_u] to avoid the bovine comparison. [name_m]Art[/name_m] is nice, but [name_m]Artie[/name_m] and [name_f]Bebe[/name_f] sounds a bit like a cartoon… [name_m]How[/name_m] would you feel about [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m]?

[name_m]Etienne[/name_m] is a beautiful name, it also goes really well with [name_f]Bebe[/name_f]. I’m not a fan of the nn [name_f]Etti[/name_f] however.
What about any kind of [name_u]Bo[/name_u]/[name_u]Beau[/name_u]- name that you can nickname [name_u]Beau[/name_u]? That way it won’t sound like bovine formally but you can still use the name your hearts are set on as his shortened name/nickname. [name_m]Bodhi[/name_m], Bodey, [name_m]Boden[/name_m], [name_m]Bowie[/name_m], Beaumont, [name_m]Bowen[/name_m], [name_m]Bosco[/name_m], [name_m]Beauregard[/name_m], etc… or any first name B, middle name O- [name_u]Bo[/name_u].
I like [name_f]Ettie[/name_f] and I like [name_m]Fox[/name_m] as a middle with your surname. I really would avoid beau now that you mention all that and I would avoid middles with the v sound as it seems repetitively v v if that makes sense. These names all seem quite [name_m]French[/name_m], are you [name_m]French[/name_m]? Or in a [name_m]French[/name_m] speaking country? I feel like you could use any of these comfortably in any of those cases.
If you love [name_m]Etienne[/name_m], use it! Yes you may get some questions, but I like what a pp said, tell people you used it because you love it. [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] [name_m]Fox[/name_m] is a super handsome combo! [name_m]Etienne[/name_m] and [name_f]Bebe[/name_f] also work fantastic together.
