We chose [name_m]Julian[/name_m] because our eldest son told my husband and I (before we conceived!) that if we ever had another baby we should call him [name_u]Blue[/name_u] [name_m]Jewels[/name_m]. We realized this was a fun homonym for [name_u]Jules[/name_u] and decided to name our new baby [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. We call him [name_u]Jules[/name_u]/[name_m]Jewels[/name_m] as a nickname. [name_m]Hawthorne[/name_m] I selected as a middle name for a few different reasons. [name_f]My[/name_f] maternal grandmother’s name was [name_f]Florence[/name_f] and I wanted one of our children to have a botanical name in honor of her; hawthorn trees happen to bloom in [name_f]May[/name_f] and have pretty flowers.
