We still don’t know gender, but I’m thinking this one is a girl…
Some of the names we’ve been kicking around:
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
[name]Marjorie[/name] (not sure on MN)
[name]Marion[/name] (not sure on MN)
Our daughter is [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and our son is [name]Simon[/name] [name]Paul[/name].
What do you think?
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Anne[/name]- I’m not a fan of the double -n endings. [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Kate[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Eve[/name], and [name]Josephine[/name] [name]May[/name] ([name]Josie[/name]-[name]May[/name]! [name]How[/name] cute is that?!) are my suggestions.
[name]Marjorie[/name]- I like [name]Marjorie[/name]. It has a very homey sound. [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Anne[/name], [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Louisa[/name], [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Florence[/name] and [name]Marjorie[/name] Mayfair are my suggestions.
[name]Marion[/name]- I think [name]Marion[/name] is okay, but lovely paired with the right mn. [name]Marion[/name] [name]Primrose[/name], [name]Marion[/name] [name]Pearl[/name], [name]Marion[/name] [name]Scarlett[/name] and [name]Marion[/name] Seraphia are my ideas.
Overall, lovely names!
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Anne[/name] - I love the name [name]Josephine[/name] and all the great nicknames, from boyish to feminine, it comes with. I’m not sure that I like [name]Anne[/name] with it though.
[name]Marjorie[/name] (not sure on MN) - [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Anne[/name] is cute!
[name]Marion[/name] (not sure on MN) - [name]Marion[/name]/[name]Marian[/name] Sounds a little more grown up than [name]Marjorie[/name] ever will. Seems to need a girly mn though.
My faves are:
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Simon[/name] [name]Paul[/name] and [name]Josephine[/name] [name]May[/name] (or [name]Mary[/name]?)
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name], [name]Simon[/name] [name]Paul[/name] and [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Anne[/name]
I agree with the other posters. [name]Josephine[/name] is great name, my favorite of your picks. But I think there is a better middle name out there for it.
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Mary[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Marie[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Alice[/name], [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name].
I like [name]Josephine[/name] but not with the middle name [name]Anne[/name]. On the other hand, I think [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Anne[/name] is beautiful and would sound great with [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Simon[/name] [name]Paul[/name]. [name]Marion[/name] is okay, but I prefer the other two.
Your children have beautiful names so you really can’t go wrong. I agree with the above comments about [name]Josephine[/name] [name]Anne[/name]-- there are other mns that work much better. I like the suggestion of [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Anne[/name].
Some other possibilities:
[name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Simon[/name], and
[name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Claire[/name] (this is my favorite)
[name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Sarah[/name]
[name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Helen[/name]
[name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Alice[/name]
[name]Marion[/name] [name]Ruth[/name]
[name]Marion[/name] [name]Esther[/name]
[name]Marion[/name] [name]Rose[/name]
[name]Marion[/name] [name]Louise[/name]
My faves are [name]Josephine[/name] [name]May[/name] and [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Claire[/name]! Not a fan of [name]Marion[/name] especially. Would you consider [name]Margaret[/name]? I suggest it because of the [name]Mar[/name]- beginning and because I have a [name]Margaret[/name] ([name]Maggie[/name]) and [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name] is one I’ve batted around if we had another girl…
[name]Margaret[/name] [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Margaret[/name] [name]Claire[/name] is like [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name]'s soul sister in my head
I do love the name [name]Margaret[/name], and it’s on our list, but we have several friends named [name]Margaret[/name]/[name]Maggie[/name] and we’d like to avoid a name that we know personally, IYKWIM.
My only concern with [name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Anne[/name] is if you say it really quickly, it sounds like margarine.
Others on my girl list:
[name]Beatrice[/name]
[name]Katherine[/name] (too popular, but I still like it)
[name]Jane[/name]
[name]Joan[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name]
[name]Cecily[/name]
My daughter’s middle name is [name]Grace[/name] (and so is mine), so that’s off the table for middle names since I don’t think my husband will let me reuse it. I also like the middle name ‘[name]Rose[/name]’.
Thank you for all your input!
I think I like [name]Beatrice[/name], [name]Matilda[/name], [name]Marjorie[/name], [name]Josephine[/name], and [name]Catherine[/name] (the C looks classier, in my opinion, and looks better next to [name]Eleanor[/name] and [name]Simon[/name]). I also think [name]Rose[/name] is an adorable match to [name]Grace[/name] as a middle! Some of the names you pick though sound awkward with [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Anne[/name], so I threw in suggestions that I think compliment [name]Grace[/name].
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anne[/name] ([name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Rose[/name] is kind of awkard to say)
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ([name]Anne[/name] doesn’t work because of [name]Matilda[/name]'s ending)
[name]Josephine[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ([name]Anne[/name] just sounds odd with both names ending similarly)
[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Faith[/name]/[name]Joy[/name]/[name]Hope[/name] (Since it doesn’t sound right with [name]Anne[/name] or [name]Rose[/name])
[name]Marjorie[/name] [name]Faith[/name]/[name]Joy[/name]/[name]Hope[/name] (Again, for the same reason as above)
I think [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Rose[/name] looks best with [name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Simon[/name] [name]Paul[/name].
