I am so excited because hubby and I have FINALLY agreed and narrowed our list down to three names for [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]'s little brother who is due in a few weeks. I love all of them, so I had to share!
On first look, I liked [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_u]Arlo[/name_u]. They are both spunky and super cool.
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] seemed too pristine and not spunky enough and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is a bit of a girl’s name for me.
But then I saw [name_m]Nate[/name_m]. [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] and [name_m]Nate[/name_m] could totally work too!
I know one [name_m]Nate[/name_m] and he’s my cousin, so I’m a bit biased,
But I do think [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is the best, as a little brother and as an individual name, I like [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] the most out of your options. (more than say [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] - however they all work so I think it just depends on who you most want to honour).
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is my favorite, though I like [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] as well. [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is more timeless.
I love [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], but I think [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] matches best with [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]. [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is quirky and cool though, so I could see it going with that side of [name_m]Xavier[/name_m].
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] is definitely my favourite. [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is great too though.
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_u]Wallace[/name_u] doesn’t have the best flow.
I love, love, love [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] with [name_m]Xavier[/name_m], though [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] is lovely too…
I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is too feminine for a boy (I can see a boy NOT being happy with that name until well into adulthood), but the other two choices are nice. [name_f]My[/name_f] favorite is definitely [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] though.
[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites are the first two, but perhaps [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] more.
I have a soft spot for [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m], I think it’s cool and dignified at the same time. It carries more weight as a name but gives you the option of a nickname. [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] is a very dignified choice (love it!) so [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] would be another one that has some weight behind it.
[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is cool but it’s short, so I’m not loving it as much as I am [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m].
[name_m]Xavier[/name_m] & [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] definitely! Depending on [name_m]Xavier[/name_m]'s middle name, I would go with [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_m]William[/name_m] or [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u].
Thanks for the feedback everyone! [name_u]Arlo[/name_u] is definitely my favourite of the three, but I am trying not to get too attached as my hubby’s favourite is [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] (because he likes [name_m]Nate[/name_m]). It’s possible that we may even go with just [name_m]Nate[/name_m], but at this stage I’m not thinking too much about it because I am just so relieved that we finally got a decent, manageable list!
