Writing on my husband’s laptop (still recovering from my c-section) I am officially announcing the birth of my b/b/g triplets who were born yesterday (they were delivered at 34 weeks + 3 days)!
Congratulations!! So glad all three (and you) are doing well. [name]Ah[/name], think of getting to choose all those names at once. That’s my idea of bliss!
Congrats on the safe arrival of your three babies, [name]Damon[/name], [name]Julius[/name] and [name]Flora[/name]! A lovely trio of names. I hope they continue to recover and Mom gets some needed rest before they arrive home. It’s going to be a very busy time but what blessings they are!
Thanks everybody! We are definitely full of emotions at this time since they are still all so small and still need to be in the NICU for quite a bit longer…but they all have been doing really well so far!
@auroradawn- lol only problem is it’s really not that easy- we didn’t settle on their names till very late in the game. It was especially hard since the technician kept making mistakes on the genders. The hardest one to name by far was [name]Flora[/name]. We just loved so many names for her! We were originally going to name her [name]Sapphira[/name] but after seeing her we knew she wasn’t a feisty [name]Sapphira[/name]- she was a soft and gentle [name]Flora[/name]. [name]Damon[/name]’s name was the easiest because since hubby and I were married we agreed our first son would be named [name]Damon[/name]. We just loved the strong, masculine sound and image we got with it. [name]Julius[/name]’s name was completely by accident (and a good one at that). Hubby had just been suggesting a few boys names and when he said the name [name]Julius[/name] I felt a bit of a kick so we knew instantly that it was the name for him. Plus it’s got the same type of feel as [name]Damon[/name]- with it’s strong, masculine sound and another plus is it has a nice connection to history ([name]Julius[/name] [name]Caesar[/name]).
@mischa- definitely going to get as much rest as I can! I can’t imagine that I will ever get any sleep….ever again.
@blade- I myself was surprised I had carried them for so long. I’m so glad I could though. Being on bed rest was totally worth it!
