We’re really stuck trying to find a name for our daughter.
We started considering [name_f]Jade[/name_f], but it seems to be very popular. That’s not a terrible thing, but we would want something less trendy if possible. [name_f]Jada[/name_f] seems like the alternative, but we don’t like it nearly enough.
Another contender we have is [name_f]Jolie[/name_f]. While really love the name, we can’t get over the [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] factor either. [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] took us to [name_f]Joie[/name_f], which is as unique and unlikely to be super popular any time soon, but the pronunciation is problematic. She would be [name_u]Joey[/name_u] most of the time.
We’re trying to use a J name to follow a trend in my husband’s family. We named our other daughter [name_u]Vida[/name_u], as my mother’s name and mine both mean life. Finding that name was surprisingly easy. We both loved it immediately and never considered anything but [name_u]Vida[/name_u].
It’s getting a bit frustrating for her sister. We’re very much open to ideas and prespectives. We need to look at this under a different light because the names we have are all somehow problematic.
I really like [name_u]Jules[/name_u] and [name_f]Joelle[/name_f]. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think they would make a good match for [name_u]Vida[/name_u]? We imagine our daughter’s middle name will be [name_f]Domenica[/name_f], so [name_u]Jules[/name_u] [name_f]Domenica[/name_f]/[name_f]Joelle[/name_f] [name_f]Domenica[/name_f]?
I love the name [name_f]Joie[/name_f], but i can understand why you would be concerned about mispronunciation. I have two names that i think you might like. The first one is [name_u]Jodie[/name_u], it’s similar to [name_f]Joie[/name_f] but easier to pronounce, i would totally consider that name but my one of my cousins is named [name_u]Jodie[/name_u]. The second name is [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] which is actually my favorite J name for a girl! I think [name_f]Jolene[/name_f] is pretty and sounds similar to [name_f]Jolie[/name_f] without the [name_f]Angelina[/name_f] association, also [name_f]Joie[/name_f]/[name_u]Joey[/name_u] can be used as a cute nickname!
Hoped this helped and wishing you luck on finding a name!
Alot of suggestions have been given, and it sounds like you have found some you like, but I just thought of a few more. Not all of them sound just perfect with the middle name [name_f]Domenica[/name_f], but for the most part I think they work.
