We’ve been focusing our attention on three names, which could very well be the finalists.
We have [name_u]Jasper[/name_u], which was the almost-name for our older boy [name_u]Lionel[/name_u]. We loved it back then and it has never left the list.
Then there’s also new discoveries [name_u]Forest[/name_u] and [name_u]Rivers[/name_u]. We both agree that [name_u]River[/name_u] is a great name and its too popular in our area, so the extra s makes me think we can “get away with it”.
Out of these three names, which one do you think should join siblings [name_u]Lionel[/name_u], [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], [name_f]Soleil[/name_f], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f] and [name_f]Marina[/name_f]?
[name_u]Jasper[/name_u] gets my vote! [name_u]Forest[/name_u] is second. Unfortunately, I don’t think [name_u]Rivers[/name_u] will stick out in a group of kids named [name_u]River[/name_u], so I wouldn’t use it (I also think [name_u]Jasper[/name_u] and [name_u]Forest[/name_u] match more stylistically with your other kids names!)
[name_u]Jasper[/name_u] fits well with your set, but I’m partial to [name_u]Rivers[/name_u]! I actually like it better than [name_u]River[/name_u] - it’s got a cool surname edge on top of the outdoorsy/nature vibe so it’s a win for me.
I don’t think you could go wrong with either [name_u]Forest[/name_u] or [name_u]Jasper[/name_u]. [name_u]Rivers[/name_u] I would eliminate just because it’s so close to [name_u]River[/name_u], if [name_u]River[/name_u] is well-used in your area. If I was going to get really granular, I have a slight preference for [name_u]Forest[/name_u] because I think it fits your set slightly better than the trendier [name_u]Jasper[/name_u], and your names are mostly uncommon, familiar, nature names that aren’t necessarily trendy. But the name that feels right is always more important
to me, forest is a second but it doesn’t fit the vibe imo. i feel like your set is very whimsical secret garden thing, but forest is more marsh-y? and i don’t know how well you’ll get by with rivers, i think it’ll just get stuck right back in w the rivers!
