Need some new name ideas - We found out at 16 weeks (he accidentally showed us during a 3d sono) that we are expecting a boy. We were pretty convinced that it was surely a girl due to timing and we had a great girl name picked out - unfortunately we had/have nothing for a boy. My first son is 7 and his name is [name]Beau[/name] [name]Hunter[/name] - he was named long before he was conceived and there was never any doubt he was a “[name]Beau[/name]”. With this one we are stuck. I am staying away from “B” names and names that end with ey/ie because our last name ends like that and I don’t want anything rhymey. I am also not interested in any names on the top 100 list - need something unique.
Some that we have come up with are :
Oh I love [name]Hollis[/name]. (I love that this has the same soft but ruggedness that I love about [name]Beau[/name] but sounds completely different).
[name]Hollis[/name] and [name]Beau[/name] are so handsome together.
[name]Hollis[/name] [name]Levin[/name] would be great.
Would you consider a second occupational mn? Something like [name]Forrester[/name], [name]Miller[/name], or [name]Sawyer[/name]. [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Forrester[/name] would be nice and the [name]Hunter[/name] - [name]Forrester[/name] connection could be a nice link between the two boys names.
Other suggestions:
[name]Caelan[/name]
[name]Lior[/name]
[name]Eoin[/name]/[name]Owen[/name]
[name]Zion[/name]
[name]Wren[/name]
[name]Ellis[/name]
Thanks for your suggestions - I really like [name]Sawyer[/name], [name]Wren[/name], and [name]Zion[/name]. And [name]Hollis[/name] and [name]Beau[/name] do go well together.
I was thinking about the middle names being similar in that sense too, but couldn’t really think of any other than [name]Archer[/name] and [name]Fisher[/name] (and we already have a [name]Fisher[/name] in the family) - thanks for the ideas.
Thank you - I do like some of those names. [name]Callum[/name] was on our original list (he has a nephew named collin though so I wanted to pick something not so close) - I also like [name]Calder/name I was considering it the other day when I was watching a documentary on volcanoes.
If we did decide to go with a “c” name - would it be too horribly cheesy that our family would then have A, B, C, and D as first initials? *and our dog is [name]Ezra[/name] so it would be ABCDE
I love that [name]Ezra[/name] fits right into the alphabetical theme. I wouldn’t worry about it being cheesy. But I would consider what you would potentially name a third child. Would you be limited to a F name? Or duplicate the E? Would you not care or how do you feel about a third kid breaking the mold?
From your list I really like [name]Elias[/name] and [name]Cyrus[/name] and I think both would go really well with [name]Beau[/name]. I love [name]Beau[/name], by the way. It’s one of my faves, but my husband doesn’t like it unfortunately. Men!
I can’t imagine that many people (if any) will even put this together on their own. I never think about my friends’ initials and their kids’ initials together.
That said, I think [name]Hollis[/name] goes so perfectly with [name]Beau[/name]. [name]Hollis[/name] and [name]Beau[/name] were so meant to be brothers. I like the combo [name]Hollis[/name] [name]Orion[/name].
If you decide you love [name]Cohen[/name], I’d recommend using [name]Coen[/name]. [name]Cohen[/name] has significance in Judaism that makes its use as a first name offensive to many Jewish people. [name]Coen[/name] has the same sound (as far as I can tell) with a different origin and etymology.
