My girl names have been changing like crazy lately! My current two favorite names are [name]Paige[/name] and [name]Bridget[/name], but my obnoxious fiance pointed out today that it looked like I “just changed a few letters and called it a day”. Does anyone else see this problem/are these names too similar in any other way?
You can also suggest other names if you’d like, as my list is quite boring right now. Top names would be:
[name]Leah[/name]
[name]Natalie[/name]
[name]Stella[/name] (though it doesn’t work with the last name)
[name]Mallory[/name]
[name]Anna[/name]
[name]Claire[/name]
and
[name]Melody[/name].
I don’t think they are similar at all. In fact, I feel they are too different, even for sisters - [name]Bridget[/name] being a very ancient, classic, “proper” feminine name and [name]Paige[/name] a more modern, androgynous coinage. [name]Bridget[/name] would fit nicely in a sibset with [name]Natalie[/name], [name]Leah[/name], or [name]Stella[/name]. I picture [name]Paige[/name] with sisters named [name]Mallory[/name], [name]Ashley[/name], or [name]Kelly[/name].

sugarplumfairy - Hmmm, I never thought of that. I was in a class in high school with a [name]Bridget[/name] and a [name]Paige[/name] (and they’re the only two I know with either name) so I guess I’ve always thought of them as similar names. I’ll look into the histories a little bit more! Thank you
I’ve never met a [name]Melody[/name], but I always think about a little intellectual, artistic and adorable little girl when I think of it (though I’m sure it’s a favorite amongst strippers, haha). Thanks for your opinion! It’s definitely at the bottom of my favorite list (and I would pick [name]Mallory[/name] of [name]Melody[/name] in a heart beat)
From your list my favorites are [name]Anna[/name] and [name]Claire[/name]. I have a neighbor whose Mother’s name is [name]Bridget[/name] so I tend to think of the Grandmother type for that name.
