Amusing thought I had - what would you think of the sibset [name]Paisley[/name] & [name]Argyle[/name]?
Actually I don’t mind either in the middle spot.
[name]Paisley[/name] for a girl and [name]Argyle[/name] for a boy? I like [name]Paisley[/name] not sure about [name]Argyle[/name].
[name]Oy[/name]. [name]Paisley[/name] is ok, nms but it definitely usable. [name]Argyle[/name] is not though. And as a sibset, it’s awfully cutesy.
It sounds a bit like a law firm. [name]Paisley[/name] is very trendy in [name]North[/name] [name]America[/name] and I can’t see the appeal of naming a child after a fabric pattern. [name]Argyle[/name] is a type of sweater.
I would think, whoa, their parents must love to sew! I don’t really care for either, but [name]Paisley[/name] is usable. [name]Argyle[/name] just reminds me of the sweater.
Very Scottish and pattern-themed. A third child would have to be named Tartan.
I wouldn’t know what to think actually. It is very themey to me. [name]Paisley[/name] is okay, but I don’t really understand the appeal.
I don’t really like themed sibsets, but [name]Paisley[/name] (middle name) and (first name) [name]Argyle[/name] as a sibset could be cute! I would only use [name]Argyle[/name] as a middle name.
My vote would be [name]Paisley[/name] and [name]Henley[/name]!
Or Jacquard!
Or Toile!
I just think you’d get a lot of teasing if they were siblings, especially twins. The smarter kids would start naming patterns and saying things akin to “Hey, where’s your sister Madras? Or your brother Plaid? Or your other sister Polka-dot?” I can just see it now, and I don’t like it! [name]Paisley[/name] could be cute, but [name]Argyle[/name] sounds like Gargoyle to me, so I don’t think I would name my son that.
[name]Cashmere[/name] & [name]Argyle[/name]! haha
Haha - love the suggestions of Tartan, Plaid, [name]Hanley[/name] Jacquard, Toile and [name]Cashmere[/name]
I really like [name]Paisley[/name], and came across [name]Argyle[/name] the other day for a boy and thought it was nice. Then I realised what a funny combo the two would make!
@kala_way LOL
i’m resisting making textile puns. sorry, i used to work in costumes
I Like [name]Paisley[/name] & [name]Henley[/name] … how do u pronounce [name]Argyle[/name]?
love it it sounds cute
I think it’s silly.
[name]Argyle[/name] is also unattractive as a name imo.
I really like [name]Calico[/name], and have a small shy guilty-pleasure affection for [name]Velvet[/name] due to old vintage movies, so I’m not making fun because they’re fabrics. But it’s very theme-y put together.
Also [name]Paisley[/name] is a bit trendy for me. But I’m not into the sound.
I have a cousin named [name]Paisley[/name]. I think its cute but NMS. [name]Argyle[/name] is horrible though…yuck!
I don’t like either name at all (too…word-y) but together they make me feel kind of nauseous.
