My husband and I are not finding out the sex of our first baby. We had no issue coming up with a boy’s name ([name_m]Calvin[/name_m]) but we don’t see eye-to-eye on girls’ names at all.
My likes:
[name_f]Clio[/name_f]
[name_u]Fallon[/name_u]
[name_f]Honor[/name_f]
[name_f]Olive[/name_f]
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
His likes:
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]
[name_f]Kenna[/name_f]
[name_u]Colby[/name_u]
You may not be that far apart as I do see some similarities in classics [name_f]Olive[/name_f], [name_f]Pearl[/name_f], [name_f]Gwen[/name_f], and [name_f]Cora[/name_f]. Also, both of you have modern in the mix with [name_f]Briar[/name_f], [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Kenna[/name_f]. [name_u]Colby[/name_u] is all boy to me.
Maybe …
[name_f]Gwenna[/name_f] (like [name_f]Brenna[/name_f]) and her nn could be [name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Coraline[/name_f] and he gets [name_f]Cora[/name_f] for his nn
[name_f]Sienna[/name_f]
I don’t have any advice, only empathy because my husband and I are in the same boat!! Your lists seem pretty disparate other than [name_f]Cora[/name_f], which I could see being similar to the names that you like, maybe use that to search some other names?
[name_f]Clio[/name_f] and [name_f]Cora[/name_f] are probably the most similar between the two lists. Maybe that could be your neutral ground?
[name_m]How[/name_m] about:
[name_f]Caia[/name_f]
[name_f]Clara[/name_f]
[name_f]Coralie[/name_f]
[name_f]Carys[/name_f]
[name_f]Chloe[/name_f] (I know it’s pretty popular, but its a great name)
[name_f]Corrine[/name_f]
[name_f]Calla[/name_f]
[name_f]Callie[/name_f]
I adore [name_f]Olive[/name_f]! I just picture a beautiful girl plucking flowers or giggling as she dips her toes in water or makes sand castles… [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Cora[/name_f] or [name_f]Olive[/name_f] [name_f]Pearl[/name_f]! Gorgeous!
From yours: [name_f]Clio[/name_f] and [name_u]Fallon[/name_u] are a bit too match-y with [name_m]Calvin[/name_m], and I don’t think the middle ‘v’ in [name_f]Olive[/name_f] sounds good with [name_m]Calvin[/name_m]'s. If you used [name_f]Cora[/name_f], you might end up with limiting your choices for a third child.
[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]
[name_f]Briar[/name_f]
[name_f]Gwen[/name_f]
From his:
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Brenna[/name_f]
If you combined [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Briar[/name_f] you would basically get [name_f]Breanne[/name_f] or [name_f]Brianna[/name_f]. Both would be beautiful with [name_m]Calvin[/name_m].
