These are the names I’m (my boyfriend is fine with pretty much anything) thinking about if baby arriving in september is a girl.
[name]Parker[/name] ~ I just love it for a girl. it’s a little rough so I can see a tomboy pulling this name off, but also a very girly-girl. Plus, it isn’t too popular…yet!
[name]Tate[/name] ~ I like it alright, and it’s my boyfriend fav. sound a bit awkward with surname, but BF likes it!
[name]Story[/name] ~ love the meaning and I think its very sweet for a little girl!
Novalee ~ This, and [name]Parker[/name], are my favs. I just love everything about this name. I even like nicknames [name]Nova[/name] and [name]Lee[/name]!

Great tastes gal, I’m in [name]LOVE[/name] with [name]Story[/name] and [name]Parker[/name] at the moment!! I do like [name]Nova[/name], but not Novalee, probably because [name]Lee[/name] it my mn.
Haha, we used to call potatoes ‘tates’ or ‘taties’ when we were little. I don’t think I would use it because of that associaton, for she would probably receive the honor of meaning called [name]Little[/name] Sprout, or [name]Little[/name] Tatey in my family.
[name]Parker[/name] and [name]Story[/name] would be my picks, too. Novalee just makes me think of the character from Where The Heart Is, which was kinda soapy. It feels rather redneck/country to me (not necessarily a bad thing). I like just [name]Nova[/name] better, though. I prefer [name]Tatum[/name] to [name]Tate[/name], but that’s likely because I know a female [name]Tatum[/name] and only boy Tates. [name]Parker[/name] and [name]Story[/name] are so fun, the former for its spunk and the latter for its unusualness and cool word-name thing.
My first pick would be [name]Nova[/name] (my last pick would be Novalee…sorry!). [name]Nova[/name] is GORGEOUS! What about [name]Parker[/name] [name]Nova[/name]?
I also really like [name]Parker[/name]! I can totally see it on a little girl. Maybe with a feminine middle?
I’m not fond of [name]Tate[/name] for a girl. Maybe [name]Tatum[/name] nn [name]Tate[/name]?
[name]Story[/name] is cool…it’s wearable, and quirky.

2 [name]Story[/name] - I much prefer [name]Fable[/name]. [name]Story[/name] can also mean the floors of a building (eg. 4th story).
3 [name]Tate[/name] - I prefer [name]Tatum[/name].
4 [name]Parker[/name] - I strongly dislike this name. All I hear is “[name]Park[/name] her” which was slang term for “sit down and shut up, woman” where I grew up.
I really like Novalee and [name]Story[/name]. Novalee makes me think of “Where the Heart Is,” a movie I loved. [name]Story[/name] is a name I never would have thought of, but I like; it sounds sweet.
[name]Parker[/name] and [name]Tate[/name] are names I associate with boys. I’ve only known boys with these names. [name]IMO[/name], [name]Parker[/name] might work as a girl’s name, but I don’t like [name]Tate[/name] for a girl. I have a cousin named [name]Tate[/name] and everyone calls him “Tater Tot.” It was cute when he was 5…not so much anymore. Not sure if that influences your thoughts on [name]Tate[/name], but I thought that nn was worth mentioning.
I like Novalee (did you pick it from Where the Heart Is? I loved that book when I was a teenager) and [name]Parker[/name] for a girl. I agree with pp about [name]Tatum[/name] nn [name]Tate[/name] rather than just [name]Tate[/name]. [name]Story[/name] is ok, I wouldn’t use it myself, but it’s cute on other peoples’ kids. I know a little [name]Story[/name], she’s about 7 with bright red hair and is very sweet.
This post confused me. I thought you were asking about a name for a boy til I saw Novalee. My vote is for Novalee, regardless. My hubby’s 12 year old niece is named Novalea! I think it is a beautiful name!

I like Novalee, though it might be better as a first and middle name combo, [name]Nova[/name] [name]Lee[/name]. [name]Story[/name] I like as a nickname for [name]Astoria[/name]. [name]Story[/name] as a full name seems silly to me. I can’t see [name]Parker[/name] or [name]Tate[/name] on girls. They’re fully boy names to me.
looks like nobody here likes [name]Tate[/name]! maybe this can get my boyfriend to change his mind. with surname [name]Dunn[/name] it just sounds ridiculous.
