Part cowboy/part little old man?

I’m trying to name a character for a story who’s very much like a fish-out-of-water–he grew up in a cowboy-town in the middle of cowboy central, and is very happy being a cowboy persona, but has found himself now in Germany and the way he sticks out like a sore thumb is sort of adorable. Originally I had named him [name_m]Beau[/name_m] [name_m]Whittaker[/name_m], but now that I have a clearer feel on his character, [name_m]Beau[/name_m] definitely doesn’t feel right. I was thinking [name_u]Bo[/name_u] instead, and that definitely feels closer, but not quite right? I had considered [name_m]Glover[/name_m], though, and that sort of name does seem nearly perfect–part little old man, part cowboy, in feel, but could actually suit a guy in his late 20s.

Any other names with the feeling of [name_u]Bo[/name_u], or [name_m]Glover[/name_m]? I like [name_m]Glover[/name_m] for him a lot, but it doesn’t seem quite perfect, especially since I’d like to keep [name_m]Whittaker[/name_m] as his last name, and [name_m]Glover[/name_m] [name_m]Whittaker[/name_m] doesn’t sound the best.

Any other ideas? I want something cowboyish in feel, but not stereotypically cowboyish, like [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], [name_m]Zane[/name_m], [name_m]Wyatt[/name_m], [name_m]Brooks[/name_m], or [name_m]Grayson[/name_m], if that makes sense.

Thanks, Writer Berries!

What about [name_m]Jack[/name_m]? For some reason, I can’t help but imagine a [name_m]Jack[/name_m] as an older man with a southern accent.

Thanks, @vestigesofsummer and @mizukuni! [name_m]Jack[/name_m] wouldn’t work, as I already have a [name_m]Jack[/name_m] in the story/series (which, it’ll probably turn into a series. I seem to get attached enough to my characters that I turn stories into series if at all possible, haha. And I think I’ve found a way to here). Most of them are [name_m]German[/name_m], so I would hope there’s no cowboy crossover, but there are some more common names, so I guess, avoid these:

[name_m]Benedikt[/name_m]
[name_u]Florian[/name_u]
[name_m]Jack[/name_m]
[name_m]Caspar[/name_m]
[name_m]Christian[/name_m]
[name_m]Pascal[/name_m] “[name_u]Pax[/name_u]”
[name_m]Peter[/name_m]
[name_m]Henry[/name_m]
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m]/[name_u]Sam[/name_u]

(Also girls [name_f]Helene[/name_f], [name_f]Grace[/name_f], [name_f]Anne[/name_f]/[name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Audrey[/name_f], [name_f]Daisy[/name_f])

I mean, there’s a football team involved, so there are a lot of lesser-known characters, but they mainly have European-type names, so I doubt there’ll really be any crossover?

@vestigesofsummer - I really like [name_m]Ross[/name_m] for him! I’ll have to think that over. I’ve always loved [name_m]Ross[/name_m], but it’s never made it to my list.
