Ok, need some words of wisdom from you guys! [name]Baby[/name] should be coming any day now and we still can’t decide on a middle name. We are definitely set on [name]Lydia[/name] for the first. Last name is Yurkovich so we’re trying avoid anything that is a major mouthful. Some considerations: M, G and R are initials we wouldn’t mind working in but it’s not a dealbreaker. Here are our contenders:
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is my favorite, followed by [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Hazel[/name]. [name]Grace[/name] and [name]Iris[/name] are pretty, too, but [name]Grace[/name] is popular as a middle name (which may or may not bother you…) and I’m not so sure about the repeating vowel sounds at the end of [name]Lydia[/name] and the beginning of [name]Iris[/name].
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] what about [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Michelle[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Marie[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Georgia[/name]?
[name]Lydia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is gorgeous! I like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Mae[/name] as well, but I think [name]Maeve[/name] is a bit more unexpected and probably less common. My second choice is [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Paige[/name]- my name is [name]Lisa[/name] [name]Paige[/name] and I’ve gotten tons of compliments on my middle name!
[name]Even[/name] though the names are different styles, [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Maeve[/name] is my favorite off your list.
If she is born in [name]June[/name] - a few more days yet! - I think either [name]Lydia[/name] [name]June[/name] or [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Pearl[/name] (the [name]June[/name] birthstone) would be perfect choices for your little girl! I think a one-syllable middle name is ideal with such a long last name…
Others I’d suggest are [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Blair[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Claire[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Faye[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Ruth[/name], and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Wren[/name]. Good luck!

[name]Gwen[/name] is more of a nickname, in the same way [name]Kate[/name] or [name]Cate[/name] is, but I do like it and its spunky, fun - yet still classic! - feel. Great way to get the G initial in there. [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Gail[/name] (it means “my father rejoices”) would be another G option other than [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Grace[/name], which is admittedly rather popular and slightly bland in my opinion. Still pretty, but not as “sparkly” as other options…
I think [name]Maeve[/name] is your best bet for an M middle name, if you want one, as [name]Mae[/name] seems a bit country, in my opinion, and [name]Maud[/name] doesn’t have the best flow, it seems.
As for R, [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Rose[/name] - I know [name]Rose[/name] is a popular middle name, but in this case, it just would fit so well! - is certainly gorgeous, and it would be very fitting if she is born in the next few days ([name]June[/name]), as the rose is [name]June[/name]'s birth flower! Neat! I also like [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Reese[/name], [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Roux[/name] (for a red-head, in particular!), and [name]Lydia[/name] [name]Ruth[/name] (it means “compassionate friend” - how sweet!).
