Paxton as a girl name?

One of my best friends has just discovered that she is pregnant with her 3rd and probably last. She has always wanted to use the name Paxton, but doesn’t know how to feel about it in case that they have a little girl. Do you think that Paxton can be used for a girl or is it too masculine? She has two other girls called Taylor and Riley so I believe that the name fits perfectly.

If I encountered [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] as a name in real life without a person attached to it I’d likely assume it’s masculine at first, but I think it works just fine as a feminine name as well. I agree it works well with the sibling names!

The name just went very viral in the last few days with an awesome (female) namesake. Google “paxton smith speech”. I agree it’s a perfect fit for the sibset.

Ditto what greyblue said. And the speech by [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] makes this name even cooler and more familiar on a woman.

I love the name [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] on a girl! It’s definitely more masculine but it works beautifully for all genders.

I think it works for any gender! I prefer [name_u]Pax[/name_u] personally, but I agree that [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] suits the sibset really nicely :yellow_heart:

I think it fits perfectly and would be cute on a little girl, I would be concerned how it would fit on a woman though. [name_u]Pax[/name_u] as a nn is very cute

I had no idea [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] was even considered unisex! It’s not horrible but I can’t say I really like it.
