My husband and I thought we were set with the name [name]Payton[/name] for a girl but we’ve caught a lot of bad ‘reviews’ from those we have told. This made me wonder if we should rethink one of our other names [name]Paige[/name]. My husband really likes [name]Payton[/name] and I’m really on the fence between the two.

I honestly dislike both. I suppose if I were forced to chose, it would be [name]Payton[/name]. [name]Paige[/name] just reminds me of a random object, like a page in a book.
I don’t hate [name]Peyton[/name]/[name]Payton[/name] but it may border trendy. Then again, perhaps not. It’s not my style and I definitely prefer [name]Paige[/name] (but for a middle name mind you). But I am not you, and both you and your husband love [name]Payton[/name]. [name]Just[/name] because your friends and family don’t prefer it does not mean you should not use it. Let them name their own kids, this is your turn. [name]Don[/name]'t let them ruin a name you love. I say go with [name]Payton[/name].
