You have to be so careful with word names though. [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] sounds tradtional and vintage. [name_f]Peaches[/name_f] sounds like a pole dancer.

oh this is the exact problem, what I have always considered nature names and loved long before DH came along, he thinks are cows names!
I love [name_f]Willow[/name_f] and [name_u]Wren[/name_u] but with the last name White - fieId it’s to many W’s.
And as my hubby says ‘cow name’.

I was informed that Most American’s see nature names as “Animal Names” was because of Walt Disney. Apparently, Mr. Disney didn’t feel that Americans, unlike Europeans, we’re familiar with them as names, since name trends didn’t cross the pond to us later. So Mr. Disney gave many of his black & white animals “nature names”, unfortunately, this perception includes “Clunky” and " Old Fashioned" names as well, which are coming back into fashion.
for example: you might find Mabel the cow- sister cow to Buttercup.
Otto or Bruno or Butch the Bull , although I’ve seen them on the dog.
Marmaduke, Baily, Luca, Fluffy, Fifi, Fido, Daisy, McTavish, Dulcie, Topanga, Precious, Duches, Duke, Queenie, Princess, King, Marty, London, Paris, Buffy I have all seen on the dog.
I’ve seen Annabel/Agatha/Henryetta/Ernestina/Ernesta/Dorothy the hens.
Floyd the duck and Snowdrop the swan.
The sows I’ve heard Hilda, Helga, Inga, Bertha, Matilda, Mabel, Maude, Eunice, Ermintrude, Daisy, Gertrude, Isla, Prunella, and Plum (perhaps short for plump, as in plump pig?) …
Boris, Bailey, Donald, Duke, Edgar, and Wally for the boars. Sugar, Cherry, Honey, Peaches, Almond, Apple, Cinnamon, Maple, Lipstick, lightening, Mabel, Dixie, Trixie, Roxalana, Dakota! Queenie , Thunder, Or full names like: Henry Foxtrotten Worthington, Dorothy Jubilee, Blue Green Cheese, Hershel Little Louie the II ect…Is what I have seen on horses. It depends on if the horse is registered on the name variations.
Just to give you an idea that the rule animals only receive nature names isn’t exactly true… I will note, that I had worked at a Large and Small animals Veterinarians clinic as a child. I did do 4-h, back than, your animal entry required the animals name(s). I did live in a farming community. This is mostly based from my experience with the animal name genre. Hope it was helpful that not everyone sees nature names “animal” names only, at least not where I grew up.
Sure does sound like a pole dancer .
Also, consider looking up the singer [name_f]Peaches[/name_f], particularly her lyrics… You probably wouldnt want to draw a comparison to your daughter.
[name_f]Peaches[/name_f] is definitely guilty pleasure or middle name only material, sorry!
[name_f]Willow[/name_f], [name_f]Moon[/name_f], [name_f]Tuesday[/name_f], [name_u]Wren[/name_u], [name_f]Autumn[/name_f], [name_f]Ivy[/name_f], [name_f]Maple[/name_f], [name_f]Cherry[/name_f], [name_f]Libra[/name_f], [name_f]Pixie[/name_f], [name_f]Sunday[/name_f].
