Pearl Serafina?

I wanted to give our baby a middle name that honors my mother ([name]Mary[/name]). We can’t use [name]Mary[/name] because our last name starts with S and we need to avoid the initials PMS. My mom loves the name [name]Serafina[/name], and my husband and I both like it too! So her name would be [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name]. My only reservation is that my older daughter is named [name]Lily[/name] [name]Hope[/name] [name]Christina[/name], which rhymes with [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name]…is the rhyming of sibset names a little odd? Thanks for input!

I don’t think anyone will really notice that it rhymes to be honest. [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name] is pretty.

I agree–how often is [name]Lily[/name] ([name]Lily[/name] [name]Hope[/name]?) known by [name]Christina[/name]? I don’t think it’ll be that big of an issue, honestly, and even if it is, if [name]Serafina[/name]'s in honor of your mom, I think it’s worth going with it anyway. I think [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name]'s lovely.

I agree that the rhyme isn’t weird.
The only think that strikes me is that [name]Lily[/name] [name]Hope[/name] [name]Christina[/name] has 2 middles and [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Seraphina[/name] only one…Or is [name]Lily[/name] [name]Hope[/name] a double first name?

[name]Lily[/name] [name]Hope[/name] is a double first. Thanks for your input everyone!

I wouldn’t have noticed if you hadn’t pointed it out. I think it is fine. I actually like that they would have that in common.

[name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name] is beautiful. Unless you call both girls by their full names on a regular basis the rhyming isn’t an issue.

When I first saw your post, I thought, “Oh, how pretty!” [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name] is gorgeous. And no, I don’t think the rhyming names are odd at all.

[name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name] is a lovely combo!

Not at all, just a coincidence. It’s no big deal. You’re over thinking it!

I love [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name]!

I don’t think it matters about the double middle on the one and not the other, b.c the number of syllables is about the same.

If you call your first daughter [name]Lily[/name] [name]Hope[/name] and your second [name]Pearl[/name] or [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name], then it is not going to matter that the full names rhyme. Probably your daughters will love their rhyming names when they get old enough to understand that, but it won’t be a thing where you are saying this little sing-songy rhyme all day calling them.

I love [name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name]! I love your oldest daughter’s name too! [name]Lily[/name] [name]Hope[/name] and [name]Pearl[/name] are both soo pretty. Really cute sibset.

I really don’t think anyone will notice the rhyming, and if they do it’s not a big deal.

[name]Pearl[/name] [name]Serafina[/name] is just perfect [name]IMO[/name]!
