Definitely [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]! I like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but it is becoming trendy and seen as quirky and cute. I think [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] matches the understated, soft, melodious, and slightly colonial feel of [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] and [name_m]Nolan[/name_m].
Definitely [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], because I dislike [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] is a character in a movie “[name_m]Wild[/name_m] child”, and she isn’t a great namesake. [name_u]Penny[/name_u] is cute, but I like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] better
I like [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] more as a full name so I would choose that one. [name_u]Penny[/name_u] is a really cute nickname and it’s really the only thing I actually like about [name_f]Penelope[/name_f].
Overall I prefer [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] to [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] for personal reasons BUT in your case I say [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] all the way. It was your original impulse, it fits better with your other kids’ names, and sounds better with your surname. I don’t think [name_u]Penny[/name_u] or [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] are really…preferable. [name_m]Both[/name_m] take on a kind of verb quality with “[name_m]Moore[/name_m]”. [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] is particularly confusing-- I just hear “popping more” (which doesn’t quite make sense but still is confusing). [name_u]Penny[/name_u] [name_m]Moore[/name_m] also has this quality-- I hear “not a penny more”. It just sounds like a sentence fragment.
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] is great!
With your last name, I prefer [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
To me the nick names poppy and penny are unuasable with your last name. For that reason I say stick with [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
I like the name [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] more, but [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] goes best with your sibset
Thanks for the input!
Hubby also likes [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] (he loves the nn [name_f]Winnie[/name_f])…too out there?
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is happy, spunky and full of energy so I like this combo the best with [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] and [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]. I love [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] too but not with [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] in the middle spot. The only issue I have is that [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] and [name_f]Winifred[/name_f] have a shared “ed” sound so I’m sticking with joyful name of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f].
If we went with [name_f]Winifred[/name_f], we’d use a different middle…maybe [name_f]Bea[/name_f] after my grandma? Something short, I think. But I agree with the assessment of [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], it sounds joyful (and I love the meaning, happy, and the quin part of [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] can mean five, and this will be family member number five for us). It’s still my favorite!
I love the name [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], it is soft and sweet and lovely. It sounds great with [name_u]Meredith[/name_u] and [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]. But I don’t love the flow with [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], so I chose [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] too, with all the nickname options. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] is beautiful and spicy. I love both. I think [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] goes better with your sibset. [name_f]May[/name_f] I suggest [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] or [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]?
I usually prefer [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but with your kids’ names, I prefer [name_f]Felicity[/name_f]
As a FN, I vastly prefer [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] to [name_f]Felicity[/name_f] (I love both, but I just find [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] more wearable, and I adore the nn [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]!), and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is adorable. I adore [name_f]Felicity[/name_f], though, but more as a middle name than up front.
