[name]Hi[/name] Berries! I posted a poll of our top 4 girls names, ([name]Margaret[/name], [name]Vivienne[/name], [name]Beatrix[/name], [name]Penelope[/name]). Most everyone really likes [name]Beatrix[/name] and [name]Vivienne[/name] the best, and [name]Beatrix[/name] is my current #1 favorite. However, DH really LOVES [name]Penelope[/name], and I do too! I think [name]Penelope[/name] is just the kind of name we are looking for and goes great with brothers [name]Sebastian[/name], [name]Oliver[/name], and [name]Elliott[/name]. The only problem I see is our last name, [name]Payne[/name]-Wardle. Big brother already has this last name (oldest 2, have a different last name altogether as they are my children with my ex-H). DH actually likes the way [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Payne[/name]-Wardle sounds, he loves alliterations. He was so sweet saying it sounds like poetry to him <3 Anyway, so here I am again, asking fellow name-nerds if it does sound bad, or good, or whatever you think.
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Payne[/name]-Wardle sounds like a comic book character, but that’s not a bad thing! Its memorable and sweet, I like it
I love [name]Penelope[/name] and think it sounds perfectly fine with your last name. All of your names are fantastic – you can’t go wrong! But I definitely wouldn’t worry about the alliteration thing. I know so many people with alliterative names, and it has never seemed like an issue. [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Payne[/name]-Wardle is lovely!
I think it sounds just fine!
I think it’s fine. I love the [name]Penny[/name] [name]Lane[/name] idea. (That song is going to be stuck in my head all day, now. ;)) [name]Lila[/name] + [name]Payne[/name] = [name]Lane[/name]. [name]Penny[/name] [name]Lane[/name]. <3
I love it! But I’m biased b/c [name]Penelope[/name] is my number 1 name and I have an [name]Oliver[/name] already as well
I think you already know what is right for you - [name]Penelope[/name]
I personally dislike the alliteration of [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Payne[/name] (sounds like a super hero or a comics book character), but if you and your husband like it, don’t let other people’s opinions get in your way.
[name]Just[/name] for fun - I think [name]Vivienne[/name] [name]Lila[/name] [name]Payne[/name]-Wardle is the best
Yeah! I picked [name]Penelope[/name] on your poll too!
I originally said I disliked [name]Penelope[/name] with your last name but I have since changed my mind. It’s cute, like a character which I happen to like and if she hates it later on she can always drop the [name]Payne[/name] and just be [name]Penelope[/name] Wardle.
That’s a good point She likely wouldn’t go by [name]Lila[/name] either… if my sister has a daughter her name will be [name]Lila[/name] [name]Harper[/name] ([name]Lila[/name] is our grandmother’s name and we both want to use it!)
Thanks for the feedback so far! I’m feeling better about it
I have to say that I agree with him! I love [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Payne[/name]-Wardle and [name]Penny[/name] [name]Lane[/name] is a clever little nn.
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Lila[/name] is divine!
I wouldn’t worry about the last name - it is fine.
I had initially voted for [name]Beatrix[/name] in your previous poll, but I think [name]Penelope[/name] is just as sweet. The alliteration does not bother me at all. I actually think it makes her name more memorable. I think you guys have found your name!
I also love alliterations in names as well. I think it makes it more striking. My soon to be last name starts with a C and i love how other C names really pop with the alliteration. The only time i don’t like repetition is when its the end of the name e.g [name]Billy[/name] Crossley but [name]Conrad[/name] Crossley rocks!
