Hey Berries, so this name has been on my list forever. [name]Love[/name] it. I took it off once the Kardashian’s used it but am considering it again. Sure, it will get way more popular but…I don’t ever see it in the top 20 or maybe not even top 30. I just don’t think this name appeals to everyone like her son’s name, [name]Mason[/name], does. I don’t know, I just think it’s really sweet and old fashioned. So they use the nn Nellie for their Penelope, which of course has always wen my favorite nn for Penelope.
Think [name]Penny[/name] will be an issue? I’m fine with it but would try and get the nn’s [name]Nell[/name] and [name]Nellie[/name] to stick. [name]Love[/name] those!
DD is [name]Violet[/name]…too much of a star baby set or really really sweet? [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] or [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Hannah[/name]?
Other names on my list are [name]Stella[/name], [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], and [name]Matilda[/name]. But [name]Penelope[/name], [name]Stella[/name], and [name]Tessa[/name] are pretty much tied right now for first place…with [name]Penelope[/name] maybe slightly In the lead at the moment.
I don’t feel [name]Violet[/name] is too star baby because I don’t think that family seek press really desperately so they aren’t as overexposed. [name]Penelope[/name] & [name]Hattie[/name] would be too star baby imo.
[name]Penelope[/name] was a choice that really surprised me. It doesn’t have that mass appeal one off from super popular familiar [name]Jason[/name], but so different & modern…anyway
I don’t think they have been on TV since baby #2 so I don’t know what the reception will be & how much it will blow up. I’m curious of what nn they pick. [name]Nella[/name] or [name]Nell[/name] would be in the [name]Belle[/name], [name]Ella[/name] vein and could have wide appeal & revive the name.
[name]Penelope[/name] is very sweet and pretty. It sounds love with [name]Violet[/name] too. I don’t care about what celebrities call their babes, and I don’t think many people remember the names (who does [name]Violet[/name] belong to?). And I don’t really know who that Kardashian chick is. I don’t think you should let that stop you from using a name you truly love, who will remember these people in a few years? [name]Penelope[/name] is lovely, it has masses of history ([name]Odysseus[/name]'s faithful wife) and I think the beautiful and amazing [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Cruz[/name] outweighs some trashy celeb.
I do prefer [name]Stella[/name] (or [name]Tessa[/name]) though.
I adore [name]Penelope[/name]! I think it’s beautiful and fits wonderfully with [name]Violet[/name]. I think [name]Penelope[/name] [name]Hannah[/name] is so beautiful and unexpected together!
But I don’t think you should worry about what celebrities do.
Yeah. I agree! I won’t let the celeb factor deter me anymore. [name]Penelope[/name] is definitely going back on the list. Adorable name :). Worry a bit about nn [name]Penny[/name] but I still think it’s cute. I just like [name]Nell[/name] and [name]Nellie[/name] best so hope that sticks as the nn! I think it will. I can’t see people automatically calling her [name]Penny[/name] if I Introduce her as [name]Penelope[/name]. So no big worries there. ETA - so when my dd was just born (2 yrs ago) a lot of people asked me if I named her after Jen and ben’s kid. Annoying! :/. But I haven’t heard that comment in a while. Only occasionally. Really, do people think I named my DD after a celeb baby?? Ugh. Haha
