Penelope

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] all,

I apologize if this question (or variations of this question) have been asked before, but I’m really at a loss and would appreciate your thoughts!

I really like the name [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but I don’t like “[name_u]Penny[/name_u]” as a nickname. Is it unrealistic of me to try to avoid [name_u]Penny[/name_u] and use another nickname like [name_f]Nell[/name_f]? What other nicknames could you use for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]?

Thanks in advance!

I don’t think it’s unrealistic for you to use [name_f]Nell[/name_f] as a nickname for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. I’ve seen other people do it before. Another nickname you could use is [name_f]Nellie[/name_f].

I think [name_f]Nell[/name_f] absolutely works if you are firm from the beginning. I have also seen [name_f]Poppy[/name_f] used, but I love [name_f]Nell[/name_f].

[name_f]Nell[/name_f] works brilliantly!!

There’s also [name_f]Poppy[/name_f], [name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Lolo[/name_f], [name_f]Polly[/name_f], [name_f]Pia[/name_f], [name_m]Penn[/name_m], [name_m]Pip[/name_m], [name_u]Pepper[/name_u]

Thank you all!

[name_f]Nell[/name_f] definitely works! She might pick up the nickname [name_u]Penny[/name_u] in school from her friends, but if you don’t want [name_u]Penny[/name_u] to be used by family, I think that’s definitely something you can control, at least for the most part.
