Not sure if I like this name yet. I just saw it on another forum and I like the idea of it but it feels a little too out there to me. WDYT? Also what are some similar names?
I feel the same way as you! I saw it and I found it very intriguing. I think it could be cute on a little girl! There are also some cute nickname possibilities such as [name_u]Penny[/name_u] and [name_f]Rose[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosie[/name_f]
I love [name_u]Penrose[/name_u]! It was actually my favorite name for a short bit. I like on both a boy and a girl. It’s actually a place name! [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] is a place and [name_m]Wales[/name_m], and I’ve lately become obsessed with Welsh names and [name_m]Wales[/name_m], so that’s a plus for me.
Not so keen myself because, where I live, it’s the name of several places and it’s a common surname borne by several people I know well. It gets used in a lot of business names too, so it doesn’t really feel usable to me. I can totally see the appeal though. It’s a nice way to get to [name_f]Rose[/name_f].
I like the idea, but its sister [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] sounds more like a name to me. It’s something I need to get used to because right now it’s too much [name_u]Pen[/name_u] + [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but when used well I wouldn’t oppose it really or anything.
Very intriguing the first time I read it ,it seemed odd until I said penrose kinda grows on you like primrose
I love it and would be thrilled to meet a little girl named [name_u]Penrose[/name_u]. I don’t think I would use it in the first name slot, but it makes a stunning middle as a twist on [name_f]Rose[/name_f]. I have it on my list a la [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] [name_u]Penrose[/name_u].

It’s unique, I like it especially with the nn [name_u]Penny[/name_u].
[name_u]Penrose[/name_u] doesn’t seem like a name to me. While it’s still not my style, I prefer [name_f]Primrose[/name_f].
I really like it, but only as a middle name, as people have said before, it’s a nice variation on [name_f]Rose[/name_f], and a different way to get to [name_u]Penny[/name_u] and [name_f]Rosie[/name_f]. [name_f]My[/name_f] first thought was that it would make an awesome pseudonym/pen name for a writer

I really love [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] nn [name_f]Posey[/name_f]. It’s one of my favorites (sadly hubby doesn’t agree).
