Penrose

Okay so hear me out here… my family thinks I’m a little crazy for this one, but that’s why I turn to nameberry!

[name_f]My[/name_f] husband was talking about [name_m]Roger[/name_m] [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] this past weekend (a physicist he was raving about). I immediately thought, Wow [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] sounds like one of those surnames that someone would definitely use for a kid! I wasn’t sold on it, but now I’ve been thinking about it for three days, and it’s really growing on me… [name_f]My[/name_f] mom’s name is [name_u]Penny[/name_u], and I think [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] could be such a cool honor name in the middle spot. Currently I’m loving [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] nn [name_u]Georgie[/name_u] or [name_f]Gigi[/name_f].

So thoughts, guys? Is this a cool funky middle that could be a great honor? [name_u]Or[/name_u] is it a little silly? It’s definitely not my usual taste but it’s been on my mind!

It’s a name I’ve seen quite a lot of on this site, so I’m quite used to it and don’t find it strange at all. If [name_f]Primrose[/name_f] can work, why not [name_u]Penrose[/name_u]? It’s really pretty, and the nod to your mother is sweet. Plus, it sounds really lovely as a middle for [name_f]Georgia[/name_f]! I say go for it.

I love [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] - surnamey, but floral, a bit like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], a bit like [name_f]Primrose[/name_f], like [name_m]Ambrose[/name_m] too.

[name_f]Georgia[/name_f] [name_u]Penrose[/name_u] is a great choice

Thanks guys! I guess I had maybe come across its use on this website before because it does sound like something some of the berries would like. Well, I’ll keep it on my list for now and see how I feel someday when there’s a little one to name
