Peregrine or Peregrin?

Which do you prefer? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m] would just be interpreted as a misspelled version of [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]? I’m crushing on this name and would just like to know.

I prefer [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m] because somehow [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] sounds a bit feminine to me. [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m] is very well known from the [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings books, therefore I don’t think people would think it’s just a misspelled version of [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m].

[name_m]Peregrin[/name_m] looks like a misspelling of [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] to me. Not everyone has read LOTR. I know that I haven’t and I wouldn’t know the LOTR reference. I do own the books but have never read them, they’re not my favorite genre.

I think i would actually prefer [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m] because i like the sound of grin at the end as opposed to ‘green’, which feels awkward/unnatural for me to say.

Definitely [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m], i like the Grin ending much better!

[name_m]Both[/name_m] spellings are fine but I prefer [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m]. When I see [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] I immediately think [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] [name_u]Falcon[/name_u] whereas I see [name_m]Peregrin[/name_m] just as a name (probably because of my love of [name_m]Lord[/name_m] of the Rings!).
