I’ve been searching and searching for a good middle name option for our baby boy. I’m fairly sure we are going to go with the first name [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] (we will pronounce it in Spanish as “tee-[name_m]AH[/name_m]-go”). We are now looking for a great middle name (or two) that would go well with it. We’re a bilingual family and we like names that are a little less common and that work in both English and Spanish.
Here are some of the combos I’ve come up with so far:
I love [name_m]Thiago[/name_m]! Great choice! As for a middle, they all sound good to me, though I like [name_u]Elias[/name_u] and [name_m]Matias[/name_m] a tiny bit better. I don’t think you can go wrong. If you’re having trouble deciding, maybe look at the definitions? Both [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] and all the middles can be linked to Saints’ names, if that is important to you, and maybe you can pick the middle based on which one feels right for this kiddo?
I’d do ma-TEE-us for [name_u]Mat[/name_u]ías, so the whole thing would be Tee-[name_m]AH[/name_m]-goh ma-TEE-us.
For [name_f]El[/name_f]ías, it would be eh-[name_u]LEE[/name_u]-ahs (though my hubby thinks the default way people will say it will be eh-LIE-ahs, which is probably true).
Ahh [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] is awesome! I love [name_m]Thiago[/name_m] [name_u]Mat[/name_u]ías. The shared letter T is much more pleasing to my ears than the names featuring L but that’s a personal preference.
