Welcome to Nameberry! [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is an awesome last name–I think a lot of first names would flow well with it! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any other criteria/parameters for the first name? For example, do you have a preference between classic/traditional/timeless, vintage, or modern names? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you prefer a more familiar name or something less common? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you like unisex names, nature names, word names, names with a certain meaning or origin? I would love to give some suggestions based on any other criteria you have!

Hi! Thanks for the response

We like traditionally feminine names for sure. I am wanting to keep other parameters open because I’m focusing on what flows best and sounds best. I do typically like classic names but I’m open!!

Welcome to nameberry and congratulations for your first child :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

I think [name_u]Everett[/name_u] gives you a lot of options, since many first names have a nice flow with it (one, two or three syllables names work with this surname). I would avoid any EV- or -ET names, because of the alliteration (ex: [name_f]Eva[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u], [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]). Names with a “R” could be avoided too, because of the R in [name_u]Everett[/name_u], but not necessarily. Otherwise, almost everything works.

Classic/vintage names:

Adeline [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_u]Anne[/name_u] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Leanor[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Lucy[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Sophie[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]

Nature’s inspired names with a classic vibe:

Dahlia [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Delphine[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Estelle[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]
[name_f]Florence[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]

Got it! After messing around with some combos, I think I like [name_u]Everett[/name_u] best with a one-syllable name, or a two- or three-syllable name that doesn’t end in “a.” but I’ll throw out a range of suggestions!

These suggestions are awesome, thank you both! It’s good to get this feedback because my original plans I think end up too sing songy, like [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u].

I am curious if anyone has thoughts on [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u]? It kind of rolls together into one like a [name_u]French[/name_u] liaison or something, not sure if that’s good or bad

Emilia [name_u]Everett[/name_u] works in my opinion, even if I agree that many three syllables options ending with A don’t feel right.

Rose [name_u]Everett[/name_u] is a good option too (not all names with an R works, but this one is okay)

Personally, I prefer [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] - it’s classic, feminine, well established but not too popular.

Emilia and [name_f]Rose[/name_f] are both lovely, and I think they both work with [name_u]Everett[/name_u]! [name_f]My[/name_f] personal preference is [name_f]Rose[/name_f] (both alone and with the surname); I can see what you mean about [name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] flowing into each other a bit, but I actually think the combo sounds nice. I also really like [name_f]Amelie[/name_f] as a possible alternative to [name_f]Emilia[/name_f], although I don’t find [name_f]Emilia[/name_f] [name_u]Everett[/name_u] overly singsong-y!
