Perry Elizabeth?

First of all, we’re having a little boy in [name_f]September[/name_f], so this is just a suggestion for the future.

I recently found the name [name_u]Perry[/name_u] in a old family history book. What are your honest opinions on the name [name_u]Perry[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]? We’d probably call her [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]…which is another family name.
Thank you!

I think it’s adorable, but if you would call her [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], then name her [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Perry[/name_u].

[name_f]My[/name_f] honest opinion about [name_u]Perry[/name_u] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is that it should be flipped around to [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Perry[/name_u]. [name_u]Perry[/name_u] isn’t a name that could be carried easily by a girl… nowadays it would be hard for even a boy to carry as I don’t think it has shook the dust off yet. It is kinder to give the more familiar name first in cases like this, I think.

I second this.

And I Third!

I agree with what others have said–name her [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Perry[/name_u], especially if you are going to call her [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]. It sounds better, too, in my opinion!

I love [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], and I like using family names, but I agree with many above posters that [name_u]Perry[/name_u], while significant familialy, belongs in the middle slot. It doesn’t work on its own, imo.

Okay, thank you all! [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_u]Perry[/name_u] [name_m]Hayes[/name_m]… I did like the [name_u]Perry[/name_u] in front, but I do have
to admit that it sounds really, really good in the middle… Thank you!!!
