I voted [name]Perrin[/name] because [name]Perry[/name] can still be the nn, so you get two names in one

[name]Perrin[/name]'s one that’s always sort of on the edges of my list- I found it when I was looking for more medieval vernacular versions of names

Different etymology, but have you come accross [name]Piran[/name]? He’s the patron saint of Cornwall, and I have met one [name]Piran[/name] once. Remarkably cheery name in real life!

I agree with whit32!

I voted for [name]Perrin[/name] because if used you have a more “stable” first name, and then [name]Perry[/name] as a fun nickname.

[name]Perrin[/name] is great. A mysterious, evocative medieval name that fits well into the modern boys’ naming landscape.

[name]Perrine[/name] is a relatively common surname that survived to the modern day. I also like Peronelle, a feminine English (via [name]Norman[/name] French) variant of [name]Petronilla[/name].

I’d go for [name]Perrin[/name] nn [name]Perry[/name], you get both that way. [name]Perrin[/name] sort of has that surname vibe about it for me.

I’m leaning toward [name]Perrin[/name], and it seems like most people prefer [name]Perrin[/name] over [name]Perry[/name] as well. Any more thoughts?

I’ve never really cared for [name]Perry[/name], though now that I think about it I can’t define why. I much prefer [name]Perrin[/name], with its uncommonness and its medieval vibe. I like a lot of boy’s names ending in N. And, as previous posters have said, you could nickname [name]Perrin[/name] [name]Perry[/name]!

I am female with the name [name]Peri[/name] the girls version and I love it. But i do remember in high school a few teachers calling me [name]Perrin[/name]…and I hated that. I used to get into trouble for not replying…but it wasnt my name!..So I suppose you could use [name]Perrin[/name] as the full name and nick name to [name]Perry[/name]. then you get both!

I love [name]Perry[/name], and it will always sound distinguished to me because I was raised on old [name]Perry[/name] [name]Mason[/name] TV episodes. My first reaction to [name]Perrin[/name] was that it sounded like a name from a wanna-be epic fantasy novel, but the fact that it’s a family name makes me okay with it.
