Oddly enough when naming [name]Vashti[/name] hubby didn’t like [name]Persephone[/name] at all but it is his top choice this time.

I prefer [name]Damaris[/name], I really love its name meaning. Seems strong for a girl. And it sounds stunning with [name]Victoria[/name] as well as [name]Vashti[/name] (cool pick).
I also prefer [name]Damaris[/name].
I am third [name]Damaris[/name]. [name]Persephone[/name] isn’t that fresh, I already know two! [name]Victoria[/name] is beautiful:)

I like [name]Damaris[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]. The other two just don’t do it for me with [name]Vashti[/name] like [name]Damaris[/name] does.
[name]Vashti[/name] is a really pretty name - if it comes to “fit” then I’d say [name]Damaris[/name] too, but I prefer [name]Persephone[/name].

I also really like [name]Persephone[/name], and if husband loves it, it deserves some serious consideration. Although I’d be wary as it’s a name he didn’t like at one point. Could he grow to not like it again?

Thanks for all the input! I was surprised to see so many liked [name]Damaris[/name]. I’m having trouble finding a good phonetic spelling of it to make sure I’m saying it correctly. I think the real reason I like it is because of game of thrones. It is close to daenerys and hubby and I agree Game of Thrones names are off the table because of the popularity explosion. This is still high on my list and you may have helped it edge out [name]Senara[/name].
[name]Persephone[/name] I love one day and then not so sure of the next. I keep going back and forth on it.
I really like [name]Senara[/name] and the story behind it but I’m not crazy about the a sound doubling up with [name]Victoria[/name].

I chose [name]Elizabeth[/name] for our eldest middle name because I wanted to give her a “normal” option in her name also. [name]Queen[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] I is one of my favorite monarchs to study and I love the fashion of the time. Thus, [name]Queen[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] for number 2 because I also like that period in history and the fashion of the time.
[name]Vashti[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] sharing names with two strong historical women I am obligated, and want, to give number 2 an equally meaningful name.
I found this and it is just creepy! Why you ask… Well, my Grandfather’s name is [name]Theron[/name] and if she had been a he her name would have been [name]Theron[/name]. Also, she is Due Oct 7. You will see when you read the link lol. I’m 85% sure it will be [name]Damaris[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] now!
[name]Damaris[/name] is beautiful. It’s one of our top choices. I’ve heard two pronunciations, duh-[name]MARE[/name]-iss, similar to [name]Daenerys[/name] Targaryen as you noted, and DAM-uh-riss. We prefer the first, though they really are very similar. In addition to the wiki [name]Damaris[/name] you linked, [name]Patrick[/name] [name]Wolf[/name] has a stunning sad little song titled [name]Damaris[/name]. I’ve heard he wrote it after finding a wooden cross with nothing but the name [name]Damaris[/name] on it. He asked about it and was told she was a gypsy who fell in love with a vicar’s son, and took her own life when they were forbidden to marry. No idea if it’s true, and I hope the sadness doesn’t ruin it for you. It makes me love it all the more, in hopes that future [name]Damaris[/name]’ find happiness.

So, when tossing the name past some friends today it was pointed out that both [name]Damaris[/name] and [name]Victoria[/name] are lingerie companies. Am I setting her up for a world of teasing and foreshadowing?
Eh, hmm. I was unaware of the [name]Damaris[/name] lingerie line. I suppose I don’t do a lot of lingerie shopping, except the occasional fun piece from modcloth or, yes, [name]Victoria[/name]'s [name]Secret[/name]. Is it that well known with women shoppers? I guess you’ll have to get feedback from someone else on that one. I certainly don’t go straight to lingerie when I think [name]Victoria[/name] however. [name]Victoria[/name] is all queenly power and swords raised in victory to me. [name]Love[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]. I grew up with a [name]Victoria[/name] and I’m trying to remember if anyone ever asked her about her “secret”. Not that I’m aware of, but again, sounds like a [name]Victoria[/name] would have to chime in. If it were me, and I felt both names were right, I wouldn’t let something like this stop me.
Looking at your other options, if you’re committed to [name]Victoria[/name], I think [name]Persephone[/name] would be best with it. [name]Senara[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] doesn’t mesh quite right imo. If [name]Victoria[/name] isn’t written in stone, perhaps [name]Damaris[/name] or [name]Senara[/name] with a different middle would make you happier.
Oh, and in regards to the song again, another little tie between [name]Damaris[/name] and Game of Thrones: Brienne of Tarth (I don’t remember the actresses name) plays [name]Damaris[/name] in the music video. [name]Just[/name] a fun little piece of info.
