I picked [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] because I think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is cute and it sounds better with your last name.

Any other thoughts on this one?

I think they’re both great names! I have two channels of thought with this–

If you’re planning to call him by his full name and nickname relatively equally, I’m leaning more toward [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m]. I like the 3-2-1 syllable pattern. Also, I just like [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] more than [name_m]Phineas[/name_m]–probably because I can’t not think of [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] and Ferb when I hear it. My husband is 28 and still obsessed with that show. lol

If you’re wanting to rely mostly on a nn for everyday use, I would probably go with [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] as I think [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is cuter than [name_u]Teddy[/name_u]. Also I knew a boy growing up named [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] and everyone called him [name_m]Thad[/name_m]. If you’re going for [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] as a nn, I’m not sure [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] would lead most people there (I would be more inclined to think [name_m]Thad[/name_m] or [name_m]Taddy[/name_m]), BUT if you call him [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] all the time, people will be inclined to use that simply because you do. =]

Overall, I think I like [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] better, but they’re both super cute. =]

I like [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m] better than [name_u]Finn[/name_u] [name_m]Scott[/name_m], so I voted for [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m].

Good input! I think that he would go equally by full and nick name if he were a [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] and mostly [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] if he were [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m], for the exact reasons you gave. I used to think of [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] and Ferb and was worried about that association but I think it’ll pass quickly once meeting a human named it, plus the show has ended so I’m hopeful lol and after calling my belly [name_m]Phineas[/name_m], I see a cute kid now!

[name_m]Scott[/name_m] isn’t our last name, that would be his second middle name

I love [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], and I think both names are currently somewhat underused, so he’ll probably be the only one in his class! (He might not be the only [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] though, given the rising popularity of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].)

On the other hand, I also love [name_u]Finn[/name_u] (although I can’t seem to love [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] or any other full name [name_u]Finn[/name_u] is short for).

It’s kind of a toss-up. I think both are solid choices, but my vote would be for [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].

Hard choice! They are both awesome names!
I finally voted for [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m], which I slightly prefer over [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] (I prefer the [name_m]Phinnaeus[/name_m] spelling). Now I do think [name_m]Phineas[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] flows a little better than [name_m]Thaddeus[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m].
